Cute idea, but not worth the money

I just bought this toy for my 11-month-old son. He seems to like it, but it doesn't work as well as I'd like. First, like the other reviewers said, the balls tend to fly out everywhere when you put them in, which makes them hard to keep track of. Second, our home is mainly carpeted, and the train doesn't move well on the carpet at all. It's really better suited for tile or wood floors. Third, I was disappointed that the music doesn't last too long (about 30 seconds). It gets annoying when you have to press the same button over and over again. I'll probably keep it just because my son enjoys it, but I wouldn't make this purchase again.

My son got this as a Christmas gift when he was 9 months old. He is now almost two and still plays with it everyday. He loves putting the balls in and watching them go around. It's not too loud or annoying. This is so far the best toy we've ever got.

Our son got this when he was 9 months and is 14 months now. He still plays with it and has a ball. No pun intended :) As a parent, it is a bit loud and annoying at times and you never know where the balls will end up, but he loves it so much and I would consider this one of his favorite toys. It taught him hand eye coordination when he first got it and he he quickly learned that the top yellow button is the "go" button.
I thought it was a great gift and recommend it to anyone.

My daughter got this toy for her first birthday and she loves it. My favorite thing about the toy is that you can make the train stationary or move plus you can chose if the balls come out or stay inside. The only thing that I do not like is that when it lets the balls out they kind of just all come out at once.

My one year old daughter got this for Christmas and it does keep her busy. She loves putting the balls in and pushing the part that makes the music. She also will interact by giving the balls to me to put in or hand back to her to put in. The only problem is she has tried to put other things in where the balls go, which is actually creative to her, but may break down the toy of course. Also the balls get taken to other rooms in the house so I may be needeing to get replacement balls. All in all this is a good toy and she has enjoyed it. This toy has kept her busy.

I bought this toy for my son when he was about 9 months old to encourage him to crawl - it definitely helped with that and has become his favorite toy since (he's now 18 months). He loves to watch it move, make it fall off the coffee table, etc. I agree with the other reviewers that the balls get lost but it's a fun toy even without them. We tend to find them under the couch. As for durability it's awesome. My son knocked it in the pool over the summer - my husband grabbed it right away and it kept on working, not to mention the multiple landings it has endured at our house. Probably the best toy I've bought under 20 bucks for our son.

This is a great toy to get when you want something your kid is going to have fun with and play with every day! We got this as a gift for my son's 1st birthday and it was a hit from the very beginning. He plays with it for at least 40 minutes every day and nothing else we have keeps his attention like that. He's happy playing with it in the various modes, and lately he's experimenting with putting different objects into the chute to see if they will come back up like the balls do. There is no off button, nor is there a volume control, but it shuts off by itself after about 30 seconds of non-use (after a couple of "reminder" train-like toots) and I think it's a good volume. The songs are actually enjoyable and engaging and not annoying like some other toys we have. I love that it's a compact toy without a lot of parts and that he enjoys playing with it. I'll definitely get this as a gift for other babies - if they like it half as much as my son it will be a winner!

My son plays with this every day. He loves the music and dances to it. The songs get stuck in my head, but they're short and not too annoying. He picks it up and drops it often and it is very durable.

My son got this for his first birthday from his daycare, and he still loves to play with it (he's 2 now)! It took me a little while to figure out how to work the yellow & green switches on the sides (one lifts the "trap door" up, the other makes the train stand still while it rolls the balls around inside), but it still works like it did when we took it out of the box! My son has lots of toys that come with the little colored balls, so he tries to interchange them, but some of them are too small or too big, so he gets a little frustrated when they don't come through the train, but the back end makes it really easy to remove them! Really awesome toy, absolutely worth it!!!

My 2.5 year old son STILL plays with this toy. He got it for his 1st b-day. Our 10 month old loves it now. Well worth the money! It's not big, bulky or annoying at all. Very durable. Has made it through lots of rough play and still in great shape!
