I thought I would love this pan, but I don't know how to use it! Everytime I cook with it - it smokes up the house so bad I almost need the fire department!! I would appreciate any input or recipes. How about paninis'...can I do that? I thought I could cook, but this pan challenges me to the limit!

We got this grill pan from our wedding registry. We use this pan about 2 times per week. It works great and is easy to clean. Our only complaint would be that the "non-stick" material is already showing a few marks of where it is starting to come off.

I tried the Lodge Cast Iron Reversible Grill first and was disappointed. I bought this as a replacement and am HIGHLY satisfied! The pan heats up quickly and evenly and the grill marks are impressive. The grill grooves are raised (which makes for the nice grill marks), so grease easily falls below away from your food. And the pan is soooo easy to clean. A minute or two in some hot, sudsy water and it's clean. It's sturdy and can also be used in the oven up to 350 degrees. Will last a long time, I can tell.

I was looking high and low for an affordable grill pan, specifically one that could be used on a ceramic top stove. My previous grill pan was > a big price, a nightmare to clean,it never left "grill marks" and warped on me. I am totally satisfied with this bargain pan, it leaves nice grill marks and is easy to clean, I generally use a wet paper towel. I would recommend this.
