I purchased this Brother sewing machine to use for quilting projects...it is awesome! It is so smooth, set up was easy and all the attatchments and stitches make it so worth the money. I have another Brother sewing machine without all of the fancy stitches and have never had a bit of trouble with it. LOVE! this machine!

No problems- even when sewing with leather (w/ leather needle of course) It's smooth, the bobbin doesn't get jammed. Overall I am more than pleased.

I had a simple little Singer machine, it worked fine then boom everything just jammed up under the fabric. I later found out (after cleaning it out over 5 times) that it was typical of that machine. So I went out and bought this little baby. First of all, it purrs like a kitten, does not have that tinny sound of the Singer, so right off the bat I thought "ok, this is a totally different league". But as I was finishing my work, I realized, either this machine is difficult to find the right tension setting, or I am clueless as to how to do this, or maybe my little purring kitten has a default? Love it but... need to learn to know it better.

I'm 14 years old and i got this machine for Christmas 2008, i found interest in sewing after i took at sewing class at my high school. I was looking for a machine and couldnt find one that actually didnt have a problem. BEWARE of singer machines, i researched and researched and they all were rated awful (well at least the ones in my mom's price range $150 and below) than i found this brother brand and was impressed by the comments, they had little problems. I was excited to purchase this machine.
GOOD for anyone, not just beginners! Worth the money and you will be impressed. Very easy bobbin winding and it can sewing through thick fabric!

I bought this machine mostly to hem pants. I used it right away to hem a couple pairs jeans (with a denim needle)and it worked great. It is very simple to set up. This machine has lots features I will probably never use, but it is a great value. It comes with a plastic cover, needles, bobbins, and lots of feet.

I am new to sewing and love this machine. I have made receiving blankets, clothes for my daughter and a rag quilt using this machine and haven't had any problems with it all. I think it works great and is easy to use. I got lucky and got mine on sale several weeks ago. The only problem I am having is finding extra bobbins for this machine. I am searching the net for some. It comes with 4 bobbins but I would like some extras.

I originally purchased a Singer machine and one week later exchanged it for this machine, this machine is far better than the Singer. It is very user friendly and functions very well. The top loading bobin is awesome and so much easier than the traditional bobbin case and the extension table is very helpful with larger projects. The machine is very sturdy and sews even with multiple layers of thick material. It also come with more accessories than I expected and unique stitch patterns. This machine is overall a great value.

I recently decided to try my hand at sewing and looked at reviews for most sewing machines. This seemed to be the best one for the price and it had great reviews. I bought it about 2 weeks ago and started my first ever project - an apron. I love this machine. It is easy to use and the features are great. I can't wait to do many more projects on it. Happy Sewing!

I have owned a basic brother sewing machine for years and it has never broken down. So I decided to try this out as it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Now that I have a baby I am taking on more complicated projects like crib bedding, nursery decorating, etc....
I was excited when the machine came. I took care to read the instructions thoroughly before using the machine. There are so many great things about it that I love, but the machine misses stiches on the bottom side. I'm very disappointed because this machine has great potential. I am still on the fence as to whether or not I will return it.
