This is a great basic toaster. I had a toaster with all the "bells and whistles" that gave me nothing but problems. This toaster is exactly what I was looking for, a reliable toaster for bread, waffles, bagels, and muffins. Perfectly toasted every time.

I toast 4 Eggos on the highest setting possible and they are barely toasted! I purchased this toaster because I like the retractable power cord, but I'm not impressed with it's toasting capability.

Within the first month, the bottom spring on one side broke. Then just a few months later, the inner heating coil on the other side broke. This thing is a piece of junk! Do not buy this toaster.

Wanted something faster than a toaster oven. One side did not work. Did not toast evenly. Bottom of food was toasted much more than the top. Might just be a defective item.

Is it wrong to love a toaster? If so, just call me wrong. This unit does a great job with regular toast, bagels or muffins. The slots are conveniently wide, it toasts evenly and quickly and the lift mechanism makes removing items a snap. The retractable cord is a nice touch as well, making it easy to keep it out of the way when not in use.
