The glass is much thinner on these than their shorter counterpart. Upon first use I put some ice in the glass and proceeded to fill it with cold water when *POP!* the glass cracks. I had also purchased the small tumblers at the same time as these and have had no problems with them. Its as though the same amount of glass is used for both sizes, and the tall ones simply lack durability.

I bought these because of their great look and environmentally friendly design. Like the other reviewer, these crack and break pretty easily. The smaller versions, as well as the goblets, stand up pretty well--no breaks so far in my set of 12. The large goblets, on the other hand, have suffered casualties. Ice water in a warm glass and a crack forms. I'm replacing the 5 broken ones now.

I received a set of these for Christmas and love them! Their stylish and environmentally friendly! I have to disagree with the other review on them being too thin. I think they are very sturdy and have had no problems at all. In fact I asked for these to replace a popular style that truly is too thin.
