This trash can is great. I've owned it for 2 years and it still looks like new. The foot pedal is wide and very sturdy. It's the first trash can that I have owned with a pedal that didn't break. It even survived us moving to a new house.
If you've been searching for a nice strong trash can, this is it.

I really like this trash can. It doesn't take up much room. I like that it has an inner liner, so that the garbage bag doesn't hang over the front of the trash can.

Bought this trash can a year ago. The lid hinge broke about six months after we bought it. Was able to click it back into place but now it's completely broken. It's not worth the money so don't waste it!

I really loved this trash can when I bought it. It was very sturdy, attractive and fit really well in my kitchen. All was well. However after a few month, the little plastic tab that attaches the lid to the metal pole of the stepping mechanism broke. The lid would no longer raise when using the foot pedal. I called Customer Service and they sent me a replacement lid for free. However, the lid broke almost immediately. I'm sure there is something I'm doing wrong, but it's a trash can! Should it really be this complicated?

Don't waste your money. I wanted to invest in a nice looking trash can for my kitchen since I was used to the waste plastic ones. But guess what? Now I want a waste plastic one. The lid of this trash can is awful and flimsy, and the worst part is there is no where to secure the trash bag, so the minute you put ONE thing in the trash can the bag falls to the bottom of the trash can. And the size makes it so that you fill up your trashcan in ONE day, but then when you take the trash bag out, it's only half full. It's the worst design ever. I get so frustrated every time I have to wrangle with it to get a trash bag in it that will stay put. DON'T buy this! There are better, CHEAPER trash cans around.
