You can reset the timer by pressing the Hr/+ and the Min/- at the same time. The timer will reset.

I wish I had read the reviews before I wasted my money. As others have said, the only way to reset the timer after it goes off is to remove and reinsert the battery and reset everything. The weak magnet will not hold the unit. Mine fell to the floor and is now completely dead -- no display at all.
All in all, a real piece of .. umm .. junk!

We received this as a wedding gift and we have found this dual timer has a very big fault. Once the timer goes off, there is NO way to reset it. You have to reset the time date, & year to reset the timer! Also, the magnet is strong enough to hold the unit. It has fallen off twice.

This product is faulty. Once the timer has counted down it begins to count up and cannot be reprogrammed unless the whole unit is reset. Also, the magnet on the back is not strong enough to hold up the timer.

I bought this last week. First thing I found out ...the magnet didn't work on the back. Then after I programmed the timer it didn't function. I took it back today. What a disappointment as I like the concept of the dual event. Hopefully, the Taylor timer I bought today will work. It only has one task!

Stopped working after 2 weeks of home kitchen use. Tired taking the battery out and reset, but wouldn't work. However the displayed showed up very good from the bottom of my trash bin. Don't waste your money.

This timer is exactly what everyone describes it to be! We got this timer as a wedding gift, and it was money well wasted. The magnet comes off of the timer when you put it on the fridge, so the timer falls off every time. Also, once the timer goes off you cannot reset it. We thought that maybe we needed to read the instructions, but after reading all of the other posts it is just a ,.....timer. Had we read all of the reviews, we never would have registered for this timer!
