I can't believe the manufacturer expects a kid to work this thing. First off, the sprinkles - they are messy IF your child can even work the mechanism that makes them! I'm 35+ years old and find it a challenge.
Secondly, the ice cream machine pump. Again, hard to push down. My son used all his might and couldn't do it....and ended up pinching his finger in the lever...and, on another try, flipped the toy out from under him (he's 3).
Now, we don't even play with it as he's afraid it will hurt him again.
Overall it's a great idea but poorly executed. Send it back to the drawing board!

My 2 1/2 yr old son can't get enough of play-doh. He loves it and plays with playdoh everyday just about. We have a lot of the sets including the craft caddy and the octupus. I just recently bought the icecream shoppe and he hasn't stopped "making treats" for everyone! It is so cute and it is at a great price! Who wouldn't buy this for a price! Great toy we love it!!!!

My 3 and 5 year old cannot get enough of this toy. They are using all sorts of fine motor skills and cooperation that I have not seen them use with other toys. They can operate all of the levers very well and do not ask me for any help. Yes it is messy, but that is play doh. I always vacuum up after they are done playing. The pluses far outweigh the negatives of clean up in my book.

My daughter received this as a gift, she is 3. She loves it because it makes ice cream. I hate it because it is very hard for her to use, she can't work any of the cranks on her own. It is very messy, the sprinkle maker sends dough pieces flying everywhere. Forget about trying to get the dough out of the sprinkle make after you are done with it. It also takes up A LOT of space and is very hard to store. It's a nice concept but needs some work.

My kids, ages 3 and 6 played with this for about 2 hours after we brought it home. They enjoyed it, but now all the playdoh colors are mixed up and there are tiny pieces of playdoh all over the house. I suggest playing with it on the kitchen floor and play with them.

My 3 yr old daughter loves play-doh. This is a cute toy but not the best quality. The sprinkles shoot out, some of the other features can be tricky for a 3 yr old. Overall, I think it is a fun toy but I'm expecting it to break soon. It should be priced at $10 or less.

Okay, so i got this toy for my brother (10 year old) and he loved it. We opened it and were kinda dissapointed because the cups are TINY and it says you can make pretzels but the pretzel molds are smaller then a real MINI pretzel. The only other bad part is you have to have an adult help clean the playdoh out after and that the sprinkles just look like big chunks of pencil tips. N ot the best product but most of it is REALLY fun and i play with it and im 15!

My almost four year old got this yesterday for Christmas. She has played non-stop for 40 min. and I can see her creativity oozing out. She loves it. She can work all the parts, but the sprinkle maker part is hard. I agree the the dishes are very small, but that is all the icecream that will come out anyway. I see how it could be better, but overall we are very happy. My daughter loves it.
