Best purchased I've made in years. Easy to use, easy to clean. Sometimes I just put hot water in soap dispenser and steam clean the spots. It works wonderful.

Does leave some "carpet fuss" from the dirty carpet, that you have to go back and pick up. But that's the only draw back. I can't tell you how many times I have used on mine and family - leaving only a clean, fresh carpet behind.
Everyone wants to use it. Just to EASY TO USE. Best [.......]I ever spent, owned for 3 years.

My mother-in-law lent me hers when I bought a pre-foreclosure home with badly stained carpets. I thought I was going to have to replace all the carpeting but with a days work the floors went from nearly black to the original shade of beige! You may have to go over the same spot a few times but the attatchment does some serious work! She had to practically pry it from my hands when I was done with it, I'm getting one for myself! Don't have carpeting in your home without investing in one of these!

I had the basic model Bissell cleaner for several years and it just wasn't working as good as it used to so I decided to upgrade to this one and it is AMAZING. I have two large dogs and a cat so my carpet is always getting stained and this machine got all the old stains out and made the carpet look so much nicer! I love that the switch for changing the level of cleaning you want is up on the top so there's no bending over to change from light to normal to heavy or to rinse. The only draw back is that it is pretty heavy but it is totally worth it to get those carpets looking great!

bought machine 5 weeks ago. did living room carpet when i first got it, worked good went to do bedrooms 2 days ago wont spray cleaner,,went thru tryed everything, no luck. went on line found this happens a lot the pump goes out..then basicly junk,,so went to target to replace it ,,couldnt find recept,probly thru away cause it worked once,,target store said the could do nothing for me, nothing,,i left the machine at the counter,,so they could dispose of this nightmare in a box..target you have lost me forever...thanks for the great service

I've owned 2 of these now. When they work they work WELL and are awesome; easy to refill and use, and the hand-tools are great for furniture and vehicles. I have 3 big dogs and you'd never know it. Both units that I bought stopped working after approximately 10 hours of use (6-8 months) the same way: the pump just stopped pumping solution. Bissell's website has some generic FAQ suggestions for the problem, but it's the pump. Maybe they'll beef it up on future models.

This is a great carpet cleaner! Unlike some of the reviews below, I have had very good luck with it after 4 years of use. I own the older model (Bissell PROheat 25A3) but it's pretty much the same thing. Just like any machine, you have to keep it clean, so it's only as good as the user. When I clean my carpets, I use the cleaning solution 1st and make very slow passes. After that, I will run only hot water making the same slow passes. In short.. I use it the same as how a washing machine works. Cleaner solution to start and then just water to rinse out the lose dirt. This also helps clean out the machine. After all that is done, I will do one more run over the carpet (without any water in the machine) to pick up any remaining water that is still in the carpet. This carpet cleaner won't make 15 year old carpet look like new, but it WILL clean just as well as the professional models that I have rented many times in the past.

I love this carpet cleaner! I finally bought one for myself. I've been borrowing one from my mom to clean the stains and pet hair from the rug that the regular vaccum just doesn't get. The older one my mom had was okay, but when she bought the 2X Proheat I found out how awesome it is! My dogs have really fine hair that is not easy to pick up. It's remarkable how much pet hair this cleaner get out of the rug. I would recommend this cleaner to everyone.

I bought this cleaner about 4 months ago, we have 4 kids ages 9-2, a cat and a puppy, so we get stains spills and a whole lot of oops! We moved in this house after my disabled parents moved out. We had a professional company come in a clean the carpets throughout, it ran about $...., (I also had them do the furniture). About 3 days later I was seeing new spots from the kids and pets and the rest of us. There was no way I was going to pay for another pro company to come out again. Since there was one spot of car grease they couldn't get rid of (my fiance works for a car repair business). I went, bought this and used it on the whole house again, it was amazing and gross at the same time. The tank was disgusting to empty, kinda made me wonder what the pros did do. The car grease from a year ago was gone as well as all the other spots they missed or couldn't get up. The hair and dirt it got was unbelievable. And really gross! My carpet dried in about an hour and a half, looked and smelled great, the best part was it didn't have this funny residue feel like it did after the pros left. I really like the heat through hose option and the attachments make it easy to use on everything. The water only option is also priceless for seude furniture or scotch guarded furniture.

I have used the steamer occationally for about a year. It worked pretty well. Suddenly, the suction stopped. The vacumn repair store said it would cost $ to unclog, as they have to open it up. That's 50% of the purchase price. Assuming it will clog again every year, I've decided to just leave it with the store and call the carpet guys out here twice per year. For pet accidents the Bissell Spot Bot works great. I'd recommend going with that model.
