my SIL bought this for my daughter as a present. My daughter has been playing with a very old fisher price version and loves it at my in-laws house. I am not very impressed with this kit. the blood pressure cuff is too stiff and hard for my 19 month old to do on her own and the stethoscope twists and hurts her ears. she loved carrying the doctor bag around at my in-laws but this box is too hard for her to open on her own and she just drags it around. I dont have a gift receipt so i am stuck with it, otherwise I would have returned it! the beeper does not work the scissors dont open and close and are a nuisance.

My son received this Little MD kit for Christmas and there were several problems with it. The hose for the blood pressure gauge was bent and doesn't allow the arrow to spin. The syringe separates into two pieces. The beeper/pager sounds more like a smoke alarm and is obnoxiously loud. And the version that I have has a flashlight with a little screw that has been stripped and won't allow us to put batteries in. The MD case is complicated for a toddler to open. My son has little to no interest in playing with it.

I like this doctor set. I only have two complaints. The blood pressure cuff is so hard to squeeze; and the box cannot be opened by my 2 yr old daughter.

Just purchased this for my son and he loves it. He likes to pretend he's a doctor and is especially enamored with the (loud) beeper/pager and the stethoscope. The large case is also great because he can put other things (bandaids, surgical masks, etc...) that didn't come with the set in his kit. He gives his stuffed animals "check-ups." It also seems to help with stress about going to the doctor as he is used to the equipment that they use - thermometers, stethoscopes and of course shots. I would recommend this product -- "Parents" does a nice job with their toys.

My daughter received the kit for Christmas and loves it. I've read the other reviews . . .no, the scissors don't work - thankfully?? The kit isn't meant for real medical care, so don't expect medical grade, working features, but for the money its a great product. My daughter can fit lots of other items in the container along with the toys, so this case has gone everywhere with us, I recommend it.

I agree with other reviewers. Blood pressure cuff is hard to pump, is too big, and the dial doesn't work. the bulb actually broke off and cannot be repaired. Thermometer doesn't work and the case is too big to carry and is way too difficult to open without adult help.

My 2yo and 4yo have a lot of fun playing "doctor" with this kit. However, the blood pressure cuff is WAY too big for kids (loose on my husband) and cannot be pumped by the kids, the thermometer doesn't look like a thermometer, the beeper buttons are diffult to push and the screw was difficult to take out (we stripped it and now it's kept in place w/ duct tape), and the vaccine comes apart.
As i said, my kids have a blast...but i'm disappointed in the quality. Where is the Fisher Price kit circa 1982?

After comparing different doctor kits, I decided on the Parents brand because it supposedly got high marks. I liked the carrying case, but that I found was the best part. The cuff is too small, the beeper did not work enough to keep interest and the sissors did not cut at all. The flashlight was the biggest hit. My daughter left the flashlight on and ran the batteries down. We could not remove the screw to change the batteries. The screw is made of a soft metal and stripped so the screwdriver would not work. Please don't waste your money. There are other kits that are less expensive that now appear to have been a better, realistic choice.

Very fun, but blood pressure monitor tube broke

I bought this toy for my son when he turned 2 years old. He loves being the one to give the shots instead of receive them. It is a fun way to prepare for a trip to the doctor's office. I was really disappointed though when the tube on the blood pressure monitor broke when my son tried to pull the toy from another person's hand. Better construction could have prevented this from happening. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase as the other parts have held up well.
