It's Great November 26, 2008 Reviewer:  Louise the COOK "I COOK" (Houston, TX)  See all my reviews >

THe review about it burning everything is so not true.... You can't cook something all day on HIGH and expect it not to burn... come on now. Use common sense. And why is your kid in reach of hot cooking items anyway. I have about 4 crockpots, all different sizes from the dipper for dips and up. Like any anything with heat levels, it will get as hot as you turn it up. Besides this particular model is stainless steel, what do you think will happen if you heat up steel for several hours on HIGH... it will get hot. That's just like putting a metal tray or pan in the oven... it will get hot!!!!

My opinion... great gift and great for cooking.

Cooks waaay too hot November 6, 2008 Reviewer:  Crista See all my reviews >

I love the look of this crockpot, but it cooks way too hot, and the exterior is very hot to the touch-dangerous if you have little ones. The only thing that I can cook all day in this crock pot without it burning is soup/stew, everything else gets crunch and dried out, even when the crockpot is filled half or more full. After reading through other reviews of crock pots products, I see this is a common complaint amongst owners/users of their products.

Love it! September 30, 2009 Reviewer:  Happy New Housewife! See all my reviews >

We got two of these for wedding presents (did return one) about two months ago and have already used it twice. I cooked red beans and corned beef. Both came out amazing. I love that it is dishwasher safe - makes for super easy clean up. It looks great with our other stainless appliances. I think the main problem with the other reviewers' burned food is you need to get to know your appliance before you leave it unattended. I have used half a dozen slow cookers before and every one of them is different. Once you get use to the settings and timing, then you can use it regularly without any fear of burning. The only other advice is to make sure there is enough fluid, use a good recipe, and make sure your measurements (especially for any kind of meat) are accurate to the timing and heat of recipe.

Not happy at all!! January 10, 2009 Reviewer:  KellyAnn Chapin "jckc721" Real Name (Long Island, NY)  See all my reviews >

I received this crockpot as a Christmas gift. I've used it twice so far. The first time was a disaster. The recipe said to cook from 7-9 hours on low. I set it for 7.5 hours, and left for work, with instructions for my husband to turn it off when he got home. It was burnt to a crisp.

Right now I'm cooking something where the recipe says 2-2.5 hours on high. It's been 3.5 hours and it's still not done.

I love this crock pot, I haven't had any problems with it. I leave for hours when I come back everything is perfect. The only thing is nachos cheese gets really hot. But overall I recommend.

Burns everything....much too HOT!!! May 28, 2009 Reviewer:  Mizuumi "JJ" (Minnesota)  See all my reviews >

I happily brought this nice looking slow cooker home and proceeded to fix one of my old tried and true recipes. I work 3rd shift and woke up 6 hours later to a burned dinner. This was on the LOW setting. Very disappointed in this crockpot.

Cooks too high January 4, 2009 Reviewer:  Ana428 (North Florida)  See all my reviews >

Almost everything I cook in this burns. I can cook something on low for four hours that should cook on high for four hours and it will be inedible. It also leaks this horrible brown liquid which I have no idea where it is coming from. What I cook is usually not brown.
I guess for the price it is decent if you can figure out how to adjust the cooking time.
