Glass Bottles April 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Amanda Lavine Vaughan Real Name (Glendale, CA)  See all my reviews >

These are glass bottles, I was expecting them to be plastic. And instead of the normal lids they have disks that fit inside the nipple rings. Not what I expected, but the quality was still good.

Medela GLASS bottles June 26, 2009 Reviewer:  Breastfeeding Mommy "Michelle O" (Frisco, Texas, USA)  See all my reviews >

I love that you can pump directly into the bottle.I'm currently using Avent bottles but am going to switch to Medela to make my life easier. This way I can feed directly out of the bottle instead of having to pour into my Avent. These bottles come with medium flow nipples so if you still have a tiny baby at home then you'll need to buy slow flow nipples as well. My son is 9 weeks old and weighs 16 pounds but still cant take a medium flow nipple so go by the age of your baby not the size.

Good quality, safe baby bottle August 6, 2009 Reviewer:  ThreeKidsLater... (Oregon)  See all my reviews >

Having a healthy fear of plastic...I decided to only buy glass bottles for baby #3. Since I breastfeed, we use only rarely, so I can't give an honest opinion about regular use. However, for occasional use (for babysitter or Dad) these bottles work very well. The nipple is way too fast flow for a newborn however, and you'll have to find a slow-flow nipple that fits. I had to try several brands before I found one that worked right. Also, the bottles are very heavy and I can't imagine a baby holding it himself. But I feel much better about putting my milk in a glass bottle than plastic and I'm willing to live with the weight difference. I'm guessing it's that heavy so it won't break and I definitely don't want that! :) I've always appreciated the good quality from the Medela brand. I think their nursing pads are the best too!

haas it's pros and cons ... November 10, 2009 Reviewer:  LA mommy "Jess" (LA)  See all my reviews >

I got these because I wanted to steer clear of unsafe bottles, and was thrilled about the fact that they attached directly to my medela pump. I love that I don't have to pour from one container to another, risking contamination, or spilling.
On the other hand, the lids are EXTREMELY persnickity. If you don't get them on tight enough they leak HORRIBLY, and if you get them too tight, the nipple collapses. I've kinda gotten the hang of it, but it does make it hard for others to feed my baby. If I'd known, I probably would have gone with another brand, but I'm not dissatisfied enough to replace them all.

Not for me September 29, 2009 Reviewer:  Didn't Like (Texas)  See all my reviews >

These were way too expensive but thought I'd try them. I didn't like them because they are very heavy but mainly because they leak around the ring. Disappointed with this product.

Just what I was looking for! September 21, 2009 Reviewer:  FarmGirl80 See all my reviews >

I really like these bottles. I use a Medela pump, and these bottles are compatable with the pump and all the little bottles I got from the hospital. My favorite part of these is that they have actual screw-on lids for easy transportation with no leaks. Also, easy to mix formula in the bottles.

Nice, but expensive September 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Melissa L (Atlanta, GA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I prefer glass. I still use plastic sometimes, but glass is very nice. I also like that these fit the Medela pump. The downside is that you can get the same size glass bottles in another brand for almost half the price. Very good quality and Medela is always the best. I can't say that the difference in quality is enough to justify the difference in price though.
