I had several different problems with this monitor. The first and most annoying issue was that the lights on the receivers (just the power light, etc) were so bright that I could actually read by them in my bedroom (which is no good when you are trying to sleep). The rechargable batteries in the recievers do not last through the night, so you either have to be sure to plug it in before bed or wake up in the middle of the night to the "low battery" alarm.

This monitor is also incapable of having the sound completly turned off (so you could just see the noise on the lights). I find this to be a very nice feature to have when your baby is crying.

Also, within the first 2 weeks one of the recievers stopped working completly.

This is a great monitor! We received 2 monitors at our baby shower and returned both of them because they weren't what we wanted. We decided on this monitor after a lot research and reviews. Each unit has its own AC adapter so if the batteries get low, you can plug it in and it works like normal. I like that there's a volume control on it because you can turn the volume down and use just the lights. The lights on the receivers are a little bright, but its better than too dark! We had a nightlight in bedroom so I could see where I was going in the middle of the night, and the monitor has replaced it. Now the nightlight is in the bathroom. The sound is clear, the range is great! We haven't heard ANY interference at all. I LOVE that you can turn on the nightlight or music on the monitor just by pushing a button on the receiver. Its nice to have baby calm down a little before you have to go into the nursery, especially if you're busy cooking or doing dishes. The batteries last me a couple of days. Great monitor!!

We received this monitor at our shower. I like the idea of the 2 monitors, the night light for the baby's bedroom (which we use) and the sound playback. However, just like the other review, the batteries do not hold a charge through the night (one wouldn't hold a charge at all.) I called Fisher Price and they were very nice and responsive to sending out two new batteries. However, the new batteries hold even less of a charge and one of the monitors now begins to get very warm when plugged in. I will call Fisher Price again to see if they can resolve this issue with either new batteries or an entire new monitor set.

I purchased this even after some "so so" reviews and I LOVE it. It is so nice to have 2 monitors that I can leave plugged in and don't have to transport! The only downfall that I can find is you can't turn the volume ALL the way off. Because the microphone is right next to the base in the baby room whenever we turn on the music/sounds, even with the monitors turned all the way down, the music is REALLY LOUD. Not a problem so far...

I really like this monitor for the ability to activate the light and sounds from the handset. The crashing waves turn off after about a half hour which is about perfect for baby to fall asleep and not even notice the white noise go away. The nightlight on the base is a really nice feature - at 2am feedings, being able to see a little without having to turn on a light is really helpful.
Like the other reviewers, I have found that the battery doesn't last and I have to switch handsets in the middle of the night. We don't have an outlet to keep it plugged in close to the bed so I'm woken up every night to a low battery beep.

After doing some reviews on other monitors I decided to purchase this one since it had two handsets. I liked the idea that I could have one upstairs and one downstairs.

I like the fact that on the handsets you can play the music right from the handset or turn on the light before you go into the babies room.

What i don't like about this monitor is that the battery does not last that long and I have to keep it plugged in, also the lights on top are very bright when you are trying to sleep at night. Other then that I would have to say that i would recommend this to a friend.
