The floor lamp I bought in 2003 from Target looks exactly like this one and same description except mine didn't come with any CFL bulb back then. I have moved probably 6 times since buying the lamp and it is still working just fine. The only downside is that the plastic shades have yellowed a bit over the years but I am looking at replacing them with heat-safe shades I'll make myself. When I bought this lamp it was a post-divorce quick fix for setting up house on my own and I didn't expect i t to last all that long but it is still going strong. The number of bulbs it holds and the option to choose three settings from low to bright light is great for apartments with little built in overhead lighting.

I think I would have really liked this lamp, however when I got it out of the box after receiving it in the mail, I discovered that the metal on the outside of the lightbulb sockets, which the lamp shades screw onto, was strangely rusty all over. The rest of the lamp had the nice shiny metal finish as pictured, but the rust was very obvious and unattractive. It's not something that will just wipe off, so I am returning this product.

I have two, and plan to get a third. I haven't found any other lamp that gives off so much light and looks decent in my living room, which has no overhead lights. Although it comes with CFLs, the lamp is also rated for up to 60watt incandescent bulbs - this is specified in the packaging. I would not recommend using more than 60w bulbs. Overall, it's good lamp.

I don't remember paying this much for this lamp, but I've had it for over a year and I love it... so versatile, and the amount of lighting it provides in any situation is perfect.

I bought this lamp about a year ago, and a couple months later, I noticed that one of the bulbs wasn't working. Assuming the bulb had burnt out, I replaced it, but it still didn't work. Over the course of the next few months, one-by-one, each of the other lights stopped working as well. I am extremely disappointed with this product and will not buy another light from this manufacturer again.

I live in Seattle and it gets gloomy at times especially in the winter. Having bright light helps a lot, so I was looking for powerful, stylish, sturdy and yet cheap solution. This 5-bulb lamp is so unique I was glad they made it.With 5 CFL lamps at 100W (26W power consumption), I get 500W combined which feels like daylight. The lamp says max 60W each petal but that is power consumption, not lighting power, so you could easily put much more. For [$] at local Target, this lamp is a steal.

You can't beat the price! We bought this 3 years ago and still have it! We love it and we always get asked where we purchased it. The only thing is, you have to keep up with dusting inside the cups because it gets dusty in really fast.

The first turn on the switch lights up two lights; the second turn, the other three lights; and the third turn gives juice to all five lights. The shades are low-key, opaque white that soften the included CFL bulbs. The construction feels sturdy especially when when moving it while grasping the center pole. Take care not to yank the cord upward from the base because this causes the metal finish at the bottom to bend upward from the base and could damage it. Each light has it's own flexible bend y thing that lets you point the light in whatever direction you want. The cord is like three feet or so, haven't measured. Not too short, not long either. The lights included are very bright. It's a simple lamp, but if you have a dark room, buy this lamp!
