Mater's Tall Tales Undies

Saw another review upset about the characters on the undies. These have the various McQueen and Mater characters from the Disney tv shorts called "Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales." They are not actually from the Cars movie. My son has been wearing these for a few weeks and they have gone through the wash multiple times with no fraying. He loves them and doesn't want to get them dirty, which has made potty training a cinch so far.
NOT the Disney Cars you'd think they are

I was so dissapointed when I opened these. The store carries "Cars 2" as well as these, marked just Disney "Cars" but the designs are not any of the characters my son adores from the movie! An angry-looking monster truck named "The Tormentor" is not my idea of appropriate for a < 3 year-old. Also, I agree that the waistband is fraying after 1 washing. If I could figure out how to write the manufacturer they'd be getting an angry letter.

I just got these undies home last night and on their first wash today the waistbands on two of the pairs are fraying! So disappointed. Now I have to sort them from all the other packs of underwear bought (just started potty training) [...]

Bought this underwear for my godson, and not only was it a perfect fit, but as he is still potty training, it is easily washed and it holds up through a lot! He also LOVES them because they are Cars, and he thinks he is all that! I think they are great and I would definitely buy them again!

My kid is obsessed with cars, and when i saw these i thought they would be a perfect to to potty train.. and it worked. i put them on and told him, you cant pee on mater, so when he did he cried lol

I was hoping these were based on the original Cars movie, but they seem to be a promo for Cars 2. Some of the graphics were a little "dark" for a 2 year old. They could have just gone with simple car pictures of the original cast and boys would be happy. That said, my son loves them.Also, when I put them in the wash the bands started to unravel on several of them. Like maybe the first 1-2 rows of elastic wasn't secured properly. I don't know. I didn't know if Target would take them ba ck after they had been washed (not even worn yet), so I'm just sucking it up).
