I bought two of these along with the tabletop to use in my home office. The hardest part of assembling this was getting it out of the box! Otherwise, it was SO easy to put together. It took about 15 minutes for each; by myself. The wood is really heavy and very nice looking. I was so surprised at how nice and heavy it is. It matches our [expensive] office furniture. Two of the shelves I received were very scratched up but when I assembled it, I made sure the scratched sides were facing down. Al
so, one of the screws was warped and would not fit. I took a blade to it and scraped it down a bit at the warped edge and then it fit fine. It did not come with extra hex screws so I had to make it work. The back panels are made of flimsy composite material. But mine fit perfectly and they screw in so they are fairly sturdy. It looks fine when assembled. Neither of mine are wobbly. I am using this in my home office for assembling products for my home business and it is awesome! This shelf is very solid, had extremely easy to follow picture instructions, and all the parts are very clearly marked with stickers, even the screws are packaged according to the steps they are needed for.One of the back sections -is- smaller, but clearly marked with a sticker corresponding to the instructions as to where it needed to be, and fit perfectly where it was supposed to go.The shelf is very heavy, but I was able to assemble it myself in about 15 minutes. I bought this for our family room. Plan to store kids books, toys, puzzles, etc in it. It was packed well, so no damage in transit. It was easy to put together, even for a non-handyperson like myself. It's very sturdy and stable - perfect for what I wanted it for. Great buy.
I bought these to go with the craft table top when I decided not to purchase a similar item from a high end retailer. I love the whole system, but especially like the bookshelves. Unlike the similar item I considered, which has 9 shelves per bookcase, these shelves are wider, alloweing me to store large items. I'm just more than pleased - best purchase I've made all year.
Love this item. I bought two of these along with the table top and love the whole thing. The assembly was easy enough that my 8 year old son did it for me. I would recommend to anyone.
The free shipping took only four days. I've assembled items from the other stores, and this was better than most: carefully wrapped, all parts there, clear instructions. Took about 20 minutes. It is really solid and looks great. I was leery of buying furniture that I couldn't see beforehand, but the site said I could return to a Target store (which I won't be doing) so I risked it, and am extremely happy.
we ordered 2 of these along with the desk top, and it is a fantastic piece of furniture! VERY sturdy, VERY well packaged, and a snap to assemble. this is a very large worktable, with great storage. we love it!
