The picture does not show the actual color of these dishes. I wanted the nice khaki green as Shown, but the actual color of these dishes is LIME or AVACADO green. I returned them, if you're looking for a bright green, these are your dishes.

I too was disapointed when we opened our wedding gifts and found the 70's avocado staring at us and not the brown swirl we were expecting. Some better discriptions would be greatly appreciated... Especially color!

We purchased 3 sets of these dishes. As everyone else has said, they are more green than the picture shows, but they are a very nice color. They are heavy and sturdy. We love them. They do well in the dishwasher and microwave. These are a great product- especially at that price! We also bought the "perception" glasses and they go GREAT together.

I order two sets of these dishes and paid shipping on the 50+ lbs only to have them show up and be very disappointed that they were a horrible GREEN and not the brown that is displayed in the picture. Furthermore in the description in NO WAY does it say they are green! Why should I pay for shipping, tax and then go through a hassle to have them returned when the problem is caused by poor description and picture????

I registered for these dishes online, but when I received them, I was disappointed to find that the dishes are 70's lime green and aren't the mixture of dark green and brown like the picture shows. I liked the size of the bowls. I returned mine and selected another set.

I have been dinnerware shopping for months and thought I had "settled" when I ordered these. Wrong!!! I love my new sets. They are gorgeous. The bowls are very large and so are the mugs. Two items were broken upon arrival, so hopefully Target can rectify the situation.

This set is absolutely beautiful. The color is a few shades lighter than the what's shown. The color is a more brighter green, but it is gorgeous nonetheless!

This set is actually a few shades lighter than what the picture suggests. It's more of a moss-green than a khaki-green, but it is still beautiful. I bought two sets so that I could have service for eight and I put them in the microwave and the dishwasher with no problems.

I ordered these hoping/expecting an olive green--more of an earth tone. When I got them they are--no exaggeration--LIME green. I was really disappointed because the color was the reason I ordered them. If the color isn't a big deal to you then I'd say the dishes are great. [...]

I ordered two sets of this dinnerware. It is great. As another reviewer mentioned, the dinnerware is maybe somewhat lighter in color than it appears but not noticably different than the picture. I really like the set and it's a great value.
