Day one.... get table... it's chipped. I say to myself... well self you are a raging idiot....take a gander at the mangled mess of a box it came in.... looks like a lawn mower escaped another box and ran it over....repeatedly. Well self, you're clever.... buy a more expensive table and
I served our dinner on my new table which I loved, great quality, sturdy BUT then I placed the plate of food on the table, mashed potatoes and meat the slightly hot plate. It was not that hot I carried it with my hands, the black came off the table. now we have white spots all over the table and it's only a few month old because the very thought of anything with heat takes off the color. BUMMER
If you have kids don't get the table. Just my cup of coffee left a mark so I am not happy but

Yes the other reviews are true. I took a chance and it came wrapped like it was shipped from another world and thrown off an airplane to my doorstep. The tape had torn and I could stick half my body down into the box. The table was just "put" into the box with no styrofoam attached to it. The styrofoam is literally tossed in there. In result, the table has a few dings around the edges. NO, not keeping a damaged table. I would of went to a used furniture store for one of those. Called
customer service and she couldn't do an exchange, only my money back which takes 7-14 days. If I were rich I wouldn't be ordering this table. Now I have no table, have to wait for my money to be refunded and am extremely dissatisfied.
I should have heeded the warnings and NOT bought this table. It arrived damaged, just like many reviews said and what a complete hassle to return it. The first time I called it took 62 minutes to get my call answered and then another 15 minutes before someone agreed to send me a return label via email. Problem was, the return label never came through in the emails, only a blank image!!! When I called a second time, it took 45 minutes to get customer service. The calls always start in India
and as much as these people try, they just don't understand a thing. You have to ask for a "specialist" which will route you to a US based customer service center. Again, wait on hold for 25 minutes. The woman promised another email with a return label, but wouldn't you know NO email. I dread calling once again and being on hold for hours. Target.com customer servies is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

When it came, the box was mangled and sure enough, there was a huge dent in the top from where it looked like it was dropped. We have been trying to get a return slip for a week. Called Target.com five times, got a different story every time we talked to someone-after waiting on hold for an average of 20-
30 mins each time-and was told the return slip would be emailed. Every time we received an email, the return slip was blank. If we are ever able to return the table, we will be sure to purchase one somewhere else where you can actually receive customer service and be able to use a website that functions properly.
It came early...it was easy to put together...it does have a nick on the edge (probably from shipping)...but I LOVE IT!!!! Sturdy, as elegant as it looks online, true black, not glossy. I love it! : )
Target shipped me a damaged table, not once, but twice. The first one had a smashed in table top; I returned it. The second arrived today with a chunk missing from the table top edge and with the table top lifting away from the ring that supports the perimeter of the table top, not the pedestal, but the ring under the top; I'll be returning this one, too. I would like an UNDAMAGED table, which seems like a reasonable request. Truly pathetic thing is that I ordered the Georgetown cocktail table
at the same time and Target has sent me TWO DAMAGED cocktail tables. Seriously???!!!

One downside was that the assembly instruction was missing from the package and I had to call the manufacturer to get it. Over all, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
