I've been using the 1st gen shuffle in the gym for years, it's been nice, but this has been the perfect upgrade for me! It's small & has a clip (great for workouts), huge capacity (for the size of the device) at 16gb, fun/easy to use interface (just read some instructions/tips, and then it's a blast), visual interface to see options/selections (an upgrade over the shuffle), they updated the software so it can sleep or turn-off, you can play music w/ a dark screen so that it won't change if you accidently touch it while working out, etc! A perfect combination of specifications (for me & the gym), the only downside is the price, [..]

The iPod nano 16Gb is a fun and niftly little piece of technology. I have owned numerous iPod's, but this one is by far the coolest. My only concern, which is a big one, is that the battery seems to die far quiker than any other iPod Nano I have owened.

If you use your ipod for exercising, this is the gadget for you. It's lightweight and has local ration station access. The touch screen is a fun feature, but doesn't enhance the product significantly from previous models. Only drawback: [...]

I bought this ipod during Black Friday and it is amazing! I have to say I bought this SPECIFICALLY for working out and running. It is so small and light and the clip is sturdy which is great. I didn't even realize it had a radio until I got it home! Did I mention you can also put audio books on it?! I am so in love haha. Great work Apple!

Okay this by far is the cutest little Ipod ever!It's so small at first I didn't want to buy it because I was so afraid I would lose it!But now I'm enjoying very much so. It's great for listening to music and it's very easy to use. It is also very good for fitness people because there is a pedometer. The price is also very fair compared to the other Ipods. The only bad things about the new nano is that you can't watch video (But you can still watch podcasts), it doesn't turn off (It has a sleep and wake function that still preserves the batterey life), and you can't charge it with any type of Ihome.If you LOVE music and that's all you want with this cute little Ipod, then the new nano is for you!

The nano was a dissapointment. Yes, it's small and the touch screen is cool, but I use it at the gym and you can't easily skip through songs while working out, it's cumbersome, not fun when you're sweating, and it doesn't turn off (?!). It also doesn't work with my iPod player. When placed on the dock and it won't charge or turn on! So to charge it I have to have my PC off sleep mode and plug it in there, doesn't work for my use, but maybe for yours. If you like to skip through songs and not ju st listen to playlists, the Nano isn't for you.

I was given this as a gift and it is the most awesome gaget ever. I have never been more impressed with an ipod. It is easy to use and sounds great. The only problem is it must be used with Itunes 10 and you have to download the Windows Service Pack 3 to load itunes 10. Other than that, it is the best music player I have ever owned.
