I purchased this when my baby was 2 mo old. The color is great, not too feminine and wonderfully neutral. My husband can wear it without feeling odd, and I can wear it without worrying about it matching my clothing. Assembling the carrier is simple-- instructions come with the packaging, but the manufacturer also thought-thankfully-to place pictured instructions on the inside panel of the carrier-- so you have instructions at your fingertips while out and about-or for when someone else is carr ying your baby- ie grandma! I am giving the product and overall score of 4 and an easy to use score of 4 due to the awkwardness when trying to snap the final hooks. Last step is to hook these two short cords around corresponding buttons. I believe this is a fail-safe in case the product were to ever fail and become disconnected -I'm not sure how it could, because the quality is superb, but I guess anything could happen. Baby was 11 lbs and 22 inches and it took some finesse.

We use this all the time!

We have used this since our child's second week of life (he was a big baby from the start)! He loves it! And Dad loves it, since most of my other carriers are fairly feminine.

I received this carrier as a gift and was planning to return it because I wanted a different baby carrier with a waist strap for more back support. A friend convinced me to keep the Baby Bjorn for my husband as he is 6'3" with broad shoulders, she said that other carriers would be too small for him. My husband absolutely LOVES the Bjorn Original, it fits great and is very comfortable. It is true, the carrier I bought for myself is too small for his frame. We are SO glad we kept this carrie r, it is perfect for him!
