This is a must have if you have kids, are on the go or have college age kids for their dorm rooms. It cooks the eggs perfectly in many different ways and keep the muffin warm till the egg is done. You won't be disappointed at all.

I have been in love with this product since I saw a news article on the television. I have purchased three of these units in the past four years. Bought one recently to bring to the office and everyone loves it. It is so practical and you can load everything in it and start the cooking and walk away and come back in a few minutes and everything is ready. The one con I would have for the unit is the cooking plate where the water is put tends to rust very quickly. I have noticed over the years th ey change the material in the pan, but they all seem to rust.Other than the one issue these units are solid and last for a long time.

I love this machine!! It is very simple to use and I can make my own breakfast sandwiches while I am getting ready for work..... I am saving money by making my own instead of buying them at a fast food place.

Really like this product. Makes good poached eggs. Easy to use. Definitely must remember to use non-stick cooking spray in the egg pan or clean up will be a chore. The only complaints are that the supplied measuring cup is hard to read and when running both the toast and egg cooker at same time, toast gets cold.Haven't used it for hard cooked eggs yet.

i used this toaster maybe twice a month at most and it stopped working after 4 years! The toaster heating unit stopped working. I won't re-buy this toaster because for the money and the little usage it should last at least 10 years!

I've never had a brand new toaster break on me before...this did. I've owned it for a year, but only recently started using it again, [...] but now the toaster burners don't even toast or turn on. Its only been used MAYBE 10 times total...total pile of junk, now its been too long to return it, but I definately won't be buying this brand again! [...]

The egg part stopped working for us after 2 years. We had also gotten this toaster as a gift for my in laws, and also my brother in law. Guess what happened? The egg part for both of theirs broke within the year. Today, a little more than 3 years after we started using this thing, it is in the trash because it stopped toasting. It was great while it lasted, but we will NOT be replacing it with another! A toaster, no matter what it does, should last longer than 3 years!

There are other options for toasting and cooking eggs at the same time, don't support a brand with a horrible quality issue. Like so many others, I loved this product -- till it stopped working in less than a year of ownership. The egg poacher was working one day and did absolutely nothing the next.

This is a great idea, but don't expect it to last a year. Both the toaster and poacher die off in a couple months of regular use.

It did work quite well and I really enjoyed it, but the egg cooker stopped working after 1 month! I used it once a day for breakfast for myself, took good care of it, but it only lasted one month. I called customer service and they are sending another one, told me to cut the cord off this one and throw it away when the new unit arrives. If you look at the reviews here, people have reported this problem as early as 2006, so in 3 years they have not fixed the problem. I cannot recommend this unit .Back to Basics has some Q&A on their website, if you have one of these, check it out. The unit starts the toast and egg at the same time, but holds the toast down until the egg is done (this is to keep the toast from getting cold.) I really hope they fix the problems, it's a neat unit if it's reliable.
