I bought this to replace my wedding shower dinnerware from 15 years ago. Three children later, I wanted something that would stand up to everyday use as well as make a great table for holidays and formal dinners. Budget-minded, I didn't want to buy both a formal AND a casual set. The Baroque set has exceeded my expectations, I was nervous based on a few reviews that had problems with broken pieces and crazing beneath the glaze, but after 4 months' daily use, they still look brand new. I wa sh them in the dishwasher, but never use the 'drying' option at my house, so I wonder if dishwasher-drying caused problems for people. I've been waiting for months for the completer set to be in stock at target.com. I ended up finding it at another department store online. Pity, because I trust Target to stand behind their merchandise, and really wanted to buy from them. All in all, I'm more than pleased with this dinnerware.

This set is very beautiful and if your planning on displaying it in your cabinets and not using it then its what you need. We have 3 children and use and wash our dishes everyday. Cracks showed up in the bowls first like the ceramic under the glaze has shattered. Now more than 1/2 have the same shatter marks. It could just be a bad batch of glaze but we are looking for more dishes after only 6 months. They would have been my favorite dishes ever if they could have stood up to everyday use.

I was so excited when I saw these on Target.com because they are so beautiful and have the shabby chic look I was going for in my kitchen. I received them with two bowls broken. I called Target and they sent me a brand new set to replace my two bowls. I returned the remaining pieces, and they paid for the shipping. What I love about these dishes is that they look pretty and go with everything. What I don't like is that they don't all look the same. Some of them have paint marks on different pla ces of the paint which looks sloppy and rushed. I also noticed that a lot of the dishes had hairline cracks in them from the poor quality of glaze. Luckily, I was able to switch out the bad ones with good ones when Target shipped me the new set. Also, they feel somewhat fragile when you use them. They feel like you could break them easily...but so far, I have not had any problems. The bowl is the PERFECT size for everything. The bowls are really deep so they are great for cereal, spaghetti, or whatever else. The cups and saucers are very small and if you are using them for an every day basis...forget it...because they are much to small to enjoy a cup of coffee--you have to keep refilling it. I am giving these dishes 4 stars because they are beautiful, go with everything, and because I like the size of the bowl.They are not getting the 5th star because some of them were not glazed and painted well, they feel really fragile for everyday dinnerware, and the size of the cup and saucer are really small. Also, they do not stack well. When they are stacked, they are not secure...they look like they could tip over. Still, I really like them.

I fell in love with these dishes when I saw them online and registered for them immediatley. I get compliments on them all the time and my best friend commented on how they look just like her pricey set she got for her wedding. They are beautiful! I love the bowls. They are deep and the handles are pretty nifty too. The plates feel sturdy and have help up well in the dishwasher. I love this unique set and would recommend these to anyone.

Very happy with this set. I like the design very classy. My husband likes that the bowls rim goes up instead of flat out. With cereal you don't have to worry about spilling as much.

I love this dinnerware, and I bought three sets of it. My only issue, and it isn't even an issue really, is that they are not as completely white as I thought they would be, so just be prepared when/if you buy them. In hindsight, I can see in the picture where the dark marks are, but when I purchased them I thought it was just a shadow where all of the little raised designs are. The raised designs actually have a dark color throughout the crevices, which give the dishes a slight rustic or antiq ue type look. I still think they are attractive, and would probably purchase them again knowing about the dark "highlighting."

These dishes are beautiful. They are perfect for my 1920's vintage apartment. The cups and saucers are so dainty, the salad plates fit perfectly atop of the dinner plates. They are sturdy enough for everyday use and elegant enough for special occasions. If given the opportunity I would purchase these again.

I love these dishes! I like a simple country look and have been searching for just the right dishes for my hutch. I ordered two sets so that I would have service for eight. They look so old-fashioned--just the look I wanted--as though they were handed down from grandma! I'm so happy with them!!

I recently sold my dishes that we purchased 16 years ago just before my husband and I married. I looked and looked for dishes and finally came across the Baroque dishes from Target! I loved how they looked online. They have a vintage feel to me and can be used for everyday use or a formal-type dinner. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived in perfect condition and were as beautiful on my table as they were on my computer screen before ordering.I've received compliments and I'm very happy with my new dishes!Thanks Target!Ruth M.

We received these as a wedding present, and they are beautiful! They are very "European looking", which is the "feel" I was going for in our home. These can even be used for fancier dinners if you don't feel like using the fine china.
