Pros: * Absolutely amazing atmosphere and visual design with the technical prowess to back it all up * Lots of character customization options to play around with * Great voice cast really sells the storyline. * Lack of death penalty keeps things funCons: * Annoying hitches cause the game to freeze for a few seconds at a time, but only happens after playing the game for several hours While on the surface it might look like little more than a very pretty first-person shooter, BioShock is muc h, much more than that. Its primary focus is its story, a sci-fi mystery that manages to feel retro and futuristic at the same time, and its characters, who convey most of the story via radio transmissions and audio logs that you're constantly stumbling upon as you wander around. All of it blends together to form a rich, interesting world that sucks you in right away and won't let go until you've figured out what, exactly, is going on in the undersea city of Rapture.

I just have to say that bioshock has been one of the most memorable games that I have ever played in my age in time. It's solid gameplay with an interactive environment and tough enemies depending on the level of difficulty. It's much better than one of those shoot 'em up games where the only objective is to eliminate the enemy in the given time. Bioshock is so much more in-depth and is like a sci-fi movie thriller. But why should I tell you? Just go out and buy it and see for yourself. And as a teaser: Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams is coming out in September 2009 so mark your calenders people!

having ridiculously high expectations going into this game, i was more than happy to see those expectations met and exceeded. this game takes a place amongst the greatest of all time in my mind, up there w/ ocarina of time, half-life, mario 64, ms. pac-man, link to the past and the 8 bit mario's. no game has had such an impact on me in either of the past two generations. i could not recommend bioshock any more, it's an absolute must own in my mind (especially if you've waited this long and it's this cheap).

let me just start off with the good its beautiful(what isnt these days) imaginative and atmosperic even though thematicly its took a few pointers from fallout and at worst held it down and brutaly ripped its arms off now for the bad its basicaly system shock 2 o sure it differs in the fine detailing and the character names have changed but once you strip all that out the main bad guy is showdown the psi- powers are plasmids the hybrids are splicers and the wrench is now a wrench but a different kind of wrench

Loved it.

I just finished this game a few days ago and loved every minute of it.Graphics, amazing.Story, a little confusing at times, but also incredible. The only thing that may be a problem on whether to buy this or not, is if you can handle the imagery, for the kind of game it is, I wonder if the graphics are TOO good, because of the horrific things you see.For example, there's a guy that gets killed at the beginning right in front of you as you watch it being done, so its kind of scary a lot of the ti me, so I don't recommend playing it at night. If you can get past that, this game is a "must-have" for any first-person shooter lover.

this is the best game on the 360. it has many different things for anyone. great graphics like I'm really there. also the game has one of the best game play ever it is very realistic. and the weapons, ammo, and the different tonics and plasmids.the weapons are upgradeable and have different ammo. the plasmids are sweet like using magic but your not. the tonics they speak for them selfs asome. the game has very smart AI and the game really makes you use everything to your advantage or you lose. i love the story line too. the best game ever!!!!

I watched my fiancee play this game. It's so visually stunning that I was totally "in" the game. The action, the dialogue, the plot...it was like watching a movie. It's by far the best game I've ever watched him play. Beautiful!

This game puts the XBOX 360 through its paces and shows what the system can really do. Playing this game in hi-def with surround sound is a real treat. This is a game designed for adults with mature themes and a great plot. I would not purchase it for anyone under 16 years of age.Bioshock is like reading a book or watching a movie in which you are the main character. The gameplay and story are THAT rich. I hate to use the term "thinking person's FPS" but it is a refreshing alternative to being fragged by a potty-mouthed 12-year-old on Halo 3.
