Don't be fooled - this thing may scrub 'em, but it just leaves puddles behind on hard floors. However, my cat pukes almost daily on my carpet and this thing cleans it up no problem - old or fresh. I end up using it weekly because of this, and it has already paid for itself in just a few months vs. renting. Nothing but a carpet cleaner has been completely removing the beige cat puke out of my red carpet. My carpet is clearly the cleanest floor surface in my home!
I have a new puppy and often have my 9 month old nephew over. The puppy accidents left deep stains and the 9 month old's spills were all over the place. for the most part, this cleaner did a great job. For some stains, i had to repeat the job a few times, but I did not mind. For some of the pet stains that had been there a little while, it was more difficult. The pet stain solution alone wasn't quite enough. I used a spray on stain remover on the old stains, allowed it to sit, rubbed it a littl
e and then used my steamer. it did do a great job. You just have to remember that this is NOT a professional cleaner, it is meant for normal wear and everyday home use. I believe it is worth the cost, even if you have to use a little elbow grease to help it along. It saves you a lot of time!
I'm baffled by all the negative reviews. My air conditioner leaked, and my carpet was soaked. I bought this carpet cleaner and am using it dry to suck up all the water. It works like a charm. After reading the bad reviews, I was prepared to try it and then take it back if it didn't work. But it's just great and I can't wait to try it on my tile floors. It's easy to assemble, easy to use, easy to empty and put back together. Target has such a great return policy that you might as well buy it and
take it back if it's not performing. But I think most people will find it works well for most needs.
I have had this cleaner for about a year now [...]. I really do like it. It does a great job at getting my area (beige) rug very clean. I have 2 kids under 2, a husband that spills a lot, as well as a dog and cat. It is light weight and small enough that I can store it in a closet in my small house. Correct, it doesn't have rotating brushes or "steam" functions (just takes hot water) but I think it still cleans enough for this cleaning freaks satisfaction. The price is right too. I wo
uld definitely recommend this product. I gave it 4 stars only because of it not having the rotating brushes and that it is difficult to clean the waste water bin.
I love my quick steamer. It is light weight and gets the job done. It was a great buy and I love it. I would definitely recommend it to any busy person that loves to clean.
I am happy with my choice to purchase this machine at a great buy, it will more than pay for itself in 2 uses simply in the effort of renting a machine. We have a beige carpet in our living room, dining room and hall. We have 3 cats and a puppy and we like red wine! I took this machine out and went over the high traffic areas and some puppy mistakes using the pet cleaner, which has a nice lite scent. This machine did a fabulous job without pre-treating any spots. Keeping in mind that when we do
have a puppy mishap or a red wine mishap we dont leave it there we clean it up manually. Now we have this machine so it will be even easier to manage accidents. Please tell me, who lets katsup dry on their carpet...!?

I bought this product because my local Target did not have the BISSELL Red QuickSteamer Powerbrush in store and I was in a time crunch. Like other consumers posted, this steam cleaner has no brush action. Don't be fooled by the, "cross action scrubbing," sticker because this product has no automated brush movement. It pulled some dirt out of my carpet but I'm sure that there is a ton left. As for spots, high traffic areas, or surface gunk it is useless. It couldn't get the dried ketch
up from underneath the breakfast table off the carpet. I returned this product and ordered the BISSELL Red QuickSteamer Powerbrush online. My suggestion is to pay the extra $10 for the BISSELL Red QuickSteamer Powerbrush. It works just as good if not better than higher price steam cleaners and only costs $10 more. It also has a 5 star rating!
I needed a carpet cleaner that was light in weight but did not skimp on results. I found it in the QuickSteamer! Not to mention the phenominal price! This great little tool is easy to assemble and handle (it weights maybe 18lbs). I have ceramic tile floors throughout my home, but really purchased it with two area rugs in mind (one is 9x12, the other 5x8), and the QuickSteamer did an amazing job on cleaning them! I keep a pretty tidy home, but the filth it got out of these two rugs left me speec
hless! And just so you know...it will also clean hard floors, so BONUS for me! Now I don't know how well it would work for wall-to-wall carpeting, mostly because it has a narrow path and is more compact than the big steamers. For smaller jobs, though, it's really a gem. The trick is to GO SLOW, particularly when pulling it back toward yourself and releasing the water & cleaner. That's when it does the most work and the slower pace really let's it do what it needs to do. I did two (2) very slow backward passes with water & cleaner, then two (2) very slow backward passes with just suction, and it worked just fine. Again, if you want a machine for wall-to-wall carpeting, you may wish to consider something with a wider cleaning path. It's great and I highly recommend it! Just wait until you see what comes out of your carpet!
Save your money and use it to buy a model that costs a little more and will actually do it's job. I bought this while in need of a cleaner, while my Hoover All Terrain SteamVac was on loan to someone. I ended up doing a more effective job doing it the old fashioned way. It did NO SCRUBBING and was completely ineffective in actually cleaning the carpet. My Hoover is AMAZING in comparison. I returned this piece of junk.
[...] if you have hard floors & low-profile carpeting, this seems to work as well as the rotating brush model. Most importantly, in comparison to a much more expensive machine by another manufacturer: 1) this gets enough fluid out of the carpet that it's dry in about 2 hrs vs. overnight. 2) It's light enough for me to carry it up and down stairs, unlike my other machine. 3) The dirty water tank doesn't leak. I have to store my other machine in the garage. On my other unit, I had to carry th
e dirty water tank from the unit to the sink with something underneath it because it leaked so much dirty water on the way. 4) It's easy to clean. I used this on my ceramic textured tile (don't ever install this in your house, we inherited it). I've used another more expensive cleaner designed just for hard floors, a scrub brush, microfiber mops, and a wonder mop and none of them got the floor this clean. It sucked almost all of the dirty water off of the floor and vs. other methods, I was able to swipe a damp paper towel over the floor after cleaning and there was no residual dirt on the floor.Take note that this cleaner is no different than most carpet cleaners on the market in that when it says it "steam cleans", it means it uses hot tap water.
