I've had this Bissell model for almost 3 years now that was purchased at Target! I have white cupboards, white tile floors, beige carpeting and a BLACK dog who ejects fur for months on end! This vacuum picks up the hair and dirt like no other. I replace the belt on the vacuum when I notice the vacuum leaving a little bit of hair behind and problem solved. Clean up is easy, cord is long enough to go through several rooms without changing outlets and the contour tool is great on furniture. I
would buy another one of these in a minute!
I have owned this vacuum for 2 years and I love it. It cleans all hair from our sheppard/husky and long haired cat amazingly well. This vacuum worked well. My first complaint was that it was SO HEAVY. A lot of the weight is in the handle. It is also my first bagless. The girls long hair never went into the bowl so emptying the bowl always involved trails of dusty hair that I would have to pull out of the vacuum.Then the beater bar got jammed and wouldn't turn anymore.
We have had this vacuum for about 3 years now, and at first the vacuum was ok -- never as good as it should be, but it worked.Now, when using it, my house stinks worse than before I vacuumed. I think it kicks dirt up into the air. The brush doesn't spin anymore and the hoses are constantly coming apart during vacuuming causing dust to fly in the air. Even though I just purchased (and used only once) this vacuum, I'm still on the fence about whether or not to keep it. It has REALLY good suction - however, it has TOO MANY drawbacks to make me want to keep it:~ Static shock EVERY TIME it touches my leg when I pull back and vacuumming a carpet.~ Cord too short.~ Nozzle too short~ Spits back up DUST all over the vacuum (AND AIR!) when using an attachment (b/c you unattach hose at the bottom and it has no closure to cover the opening).~ Dust cont

Bissell Pet Hair Eraser X2 was purchased one month ago... At first I was disappointed in the fact that it did a poor job in picking up any thing and left pet hair in places all over my carpet, I have only one cat and bought this vacuum for only this reason... To clean up the cat hair... It doesn't do that at all... Okay that's bad enough... But today while cleaning with the attachments the thing burned a hole in the carpet with the brushes... waste of money and extremely destructive. NO MORE BI

I have had this vacuum for over a year now and am very dissatisfied. It has two good points: easy to remove and empty dirt cup and easy to remove attachment hose, but those are the only good things I have to write. It is very heavy and difficult to maneuver. It does not clean edges very well in my opinion; I use the attachment for that. The attachment hose is too short and the twist-latch does not hold; it constantly slips and I must re-extend and try to twist latch it into place. It is very he
avy. If you plan to carry it upstairs get ready for a workout. It is too large and difficult to maneuver to get under furniture. I fight with the attachment for that as well. It makes a terrible snapping noise when you put it upright again. The suction is pretty good on carpet. If you have wall-to-wall carpeting and very little furniture, then you might like it. I will not buy another one.
