Have a safe place to put your dog wherever you go with this pop-open kennel by Boots & Barkley. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use, it is fully collapsible, so you really can take it anywhere.
I love this pop-up kennel, especially for the price! My 5 month old lab puppy likes it as much as her regular crate, and it's very convenient to take on trips or when visiting friends and family. I agree with other reviewers that it's best to set it up next to a wall or hard-sided furniture, but it definitely does its job of giving my crazy puppy a confined place to calm down and take a nap. I'm getting one for my parents' new puppy, and I definitely recommend it to others!
I bought the large pop open kennel recently for my golden retriever Cassie (as well as the smaller size for my beagle Nelly). I bought these along with the PVC versions as sometimes one is better than the other for the situation I am in. There was plenty of room inside, and the mesh panels on the side provided fresh air! Both of my dogs are already kennel trained, so they have no problems being inside. I love that the product can collapse into a small circle, and the price is great too!
I LOVE THIS KENNEL!!! I foster bunnies and I love to use it as a portable bunny hutch! Also, if a bunny is sick, I can separate it from the other bunnies and I have a bunny with respiratory problems so I put her in the B&B pop-up carrier and put in the vaporizer and cover it up with towels and I have a great oxygen tent and treatment room for her! It is so versatile! I also love how it folds flat and I can keep it in my truck for an emergency carrier. LOVE IT!!!
We have a young Welsh Corgi, and we don't keep him in there too long, but he has managed to tear through the zipper and mesh. It has served well for travel and can easily collapse to something you can easily move and tote.
I purchased the bigger of the kennels even though I have a small boston terrier/ pug mix. She loves it and so do I! I am easily able to transport it and can strap it in the car seats in the back so she's not roaming around. She is able to flip it around it every direction possible but after reading the other reviews I expected this and often put her up against a wall where she's not able to flop too much. For the price, it's definitely worth it! I've seen some reviews where people are mad that
their dogs were able to chew through it but that is obviously a reflection on the behavior of the dog and not the product. You can clearly tell when looking online and purchasing it that the material is mesh like on the sides and doors and very thin everywhere else!
This carrier, which is designed to hold a 75 pound dog was like a house for our 7 pound cat as we drove south some 10 hours. She had room for her litterbox, food, water and toys. More room than in some people hotels. The only problem we encountered is when we attempted to collapse the kennel. Despite the efforts of 3 college graduates, we failed miserably to get it back into it's rather small round carry case. Oh well. Cant have everything.
I have a small German Shepherd mix (he's about 45 lbs) and he loves this. I use it when traveling. It folds completely flat which is very nice. I bought a fleece pad to go inside to make it sturdier and more comfortable for him because it is tent-like nylon. Very easy to open. Folding takes a bit of practice but the instructions are easy to follow. There is also a mesh flap that folds down and zips closed (again, tent-like). My only fear is he might be able to chew through it, but it's been mon
ths of use and it's still study.I would have given five stars if the bottom was a bit more padded or if it came with a pad to insert so I didn't have to buy one separately.
If your dog wants out of this crate and is determined, he'll do it. A creative dog can get the zipper down. My puppy will flip it over and can hop across the entire house in the crate (when i use a twisty tie to hold the zipper shut). He wants out so bad when we leave him home alone, after 2 months he chewed the zipper to bits (guess we need a metal crate). But he sleeps in it nicely at night (without the door) as long as we are around. So if your dog isn't Houdini like mine, it's a great deal.
We have used one of these for our 2 pugs when we travel instead of letting them run loose in the truck. It worked great, we had to patch it a couple of times in the 5 years we've had it because of one of the dogs trying to escape. The zipper finally broke and we have to replace it but we're going to replace it with the same thing. It folds up and stores easily and the dogs have plenty of room and air circulation and are able to see us and their surroundings. I really wouldn't recommend it to le
ave dogs in unsupervised as it is pretty easy for them to dig their way through the material but for what we use it for, it's perfect.
