My husband and I just received this swing off our baby registry from friends out of state. So excited, I opened up the box & put the frame together; when I got to the seat cover, I found it was ripped. :0( One quick call to the customer service line (the 1-800 number for the manufacturer) and the very sweet lady on the other end assured me I would have a replacement in the mail within 5 days. We absolutely love this swing- My daughter is 2 1/2 months old now and still swings peacefully in this swing. She has to be on level 5 though to get a good swing in and she is 12lbs. We love the rotatability the seat has..as well as the recliner...If i had to change something about this swing..i would make the mobile...cooler to look at...She honestly has no interest in the mobile..it doesnt have good color contrast to keep her attention so we had to put the swing by our 55 gallon Aquairum to k

First off, this swing does have nice fabrics and is pretty to look at- but just that is not enough for me. The first time I put my son in this swing he was about 1 month old, and about 10 lbs. I could not get it to swing at a good speed, it seemed to either go way to fast, not fast enough, or it would sit in the middle and violently shake in the middle position. Needless to say, I brought it back and got a different one- assuming it was defective. The next one did the exact same thing. It took
about 5 minutes of swinging before it started to shake- so PLEASE don't leave the room until you make absolutely sure yours does not have the same issues as mine (the shaking was VERY violent). I called the number for customer service, mortified at what had happened and they said perhaps he was not heavy enough to use the swing. I reluctantly agreed to just try again when he got a little bit bigger. It sat there wasting space until he was 4 months old, when I tried it again. It seemed to work okay then, but it always seemed like the speeds were off, even though theres 7 or 8 speeds, it either jerked really fast or didn't barely go at all. (I'm really not picky, it was just really frustrating to never seem like I got it right) My husband would get really annoyed when he would set the timer for 1 hour and come back 10 minutes later to check on the baby and it would be off. To say the least, it had electrical problems. The last time I used the swing he was about 5 months old, and this is why I wrote this review... I had the swing on a low speed, and it was in the "swing" position (facing sideways, not forward) and I don't know how, but it swung to the right and got stuck. If my son had not been tightly strapped in he would have fallen out on his head. I was in the next room at the time and heard a horrifying scream. I came in and he was dangling upside down. Another aspect of the swings poor design, is the latch for the straps sits very low on the baby, about at the belly button or lower. This creates a problem because the two thin shoulder straps that hold the baby in don't have anything that hold them together (or keep the baby from just sliding out the top). It needs a latch similar to carseats that slide up and down the shoulder straps and lock together. After this happened, of course I took him out, but I wanted to know what had happened, so I strapped in a couple of phone books and turned it on. Then I could really see that the swing has balancing issues. When weight shifts for some reason (I assume my son was kicking his legs, or batting at the mobile) the swing over-compensates and and stays in the furthest position. It doesn't have the umph to push the swing back the other way if weight is moving around. It is difficult to explain, but if you have this swing- I would only recommend use in the cradle position (facing towards you) because it seemed to not have those problems in that position. This swing is FABULOUS! I love it and so does my daughter. It's absolutely as quiet as they say it is, and I love that it can switch to different positions. I just wish that it came with an adapter and wasn't solely battery operated. As much as we use this swing I'm going to need to buy batteries on a regular basis, or buy rechargeable ones. It was very easy to assemble, the straps are a little difficult to adjust though. Other than that, I LOVE THIS SWING.
Love this swing but..,,1) Wish it had a ac adapter for it, I go through batteries way too quick2) There is a swing timer that you can select 30,45,60 minutes. It also has an option for music (lasts 20ish minutes) or nature sounds (lasts 15ish minutes). No matter what time you select for it to swing the music still shuts off in 15 or 20 minutes. If my daughter was on the verge of sleeping and the music went off, she would wake up needing the music/sound put back on, a pain when i am running arou
nd trying to get laundry done or dinner cooked. I just feel that if you select a longer time for a swing time, it should over ride the default music time. Otherwise...love it and am so grateful my daughter enjoys it!
My little granddaughter just loves the Star bright swing. She is so content and at peace, as if she was was in her mothers arms. I am very happy that I purchased the swing for her. The new parents are very happy. By using the swing, they are able to get a nap in. This way they are refreshed and alert for their new little bundle of joy.
I was able to put this swing together easily by myself. I found the directions simple to follow and it came out great. I really like this swing a lot so far it has meant all my standards of use. It works great I love the fact that it can sing either way and is adjustable to recline or sit up. I also like that I can remove the tray and the mobile if I want. I think the it is also great because I can pick the speed amount of time I want to use it for. I would really recommend this product to any

I got this swing from my baby shower and it is really nice. It has lots of good features. My baby didn't use it very much (just because shes spoiled). Now that she's older I wish it would sit up more so she could play with the toys that came with it.
