Capiz Shell Floral Pendant Light - White product details page

i noticed 1delicate shell was cracked, but was so excited i didnt care. i had no wires from the ceiling so i use an extension cord, mount it to the ceiling, had to find wooden beams under the ceiling walls to hang it securely. the chain was too long so had to cut that too. instillation would be difficult if my husband hadnt known his way around the toolbox after it hung i fell in love. perfect size for my small livingroom. its used all the time. its even nice to look at when not lit [...]but i am happy with mine after all

I absolutely love this light - I put a halogen light in it with a dimmer and at night it gives such a lovely glow. A bit smaller than I wished, but I absolutely recommend it. I am thinking of buying another one for my bedroom.

I had been watching this light fixture for months trying to save up the money to buy it for my dining room. I have a modern decor and I finally got what I thought was a good deal [...]. It was delivered very quickly but much to my disappointment the light is advertised as white capiz shells and silvertone. The canopy and chain used to hang the light is silver, however the frames around each "Flower Petal" is a GOLD TONE OR BRASS which totally conflicts with what I thought I'd be getti ng. I have seen a similar fixture in local stores and they are indeed silver around the petals. Perhaps in time the frames on the petals will oxidize to black and look less mismatched but it greatly clashes with the silver chain and canopy and with all the brushed stainless and silver fixtures in my home!On the plus side, this light is very pretty, although a bit smaller in person than expected but thanks to the great Target policies, I am returning it because it should be described as prominently goldtone around the petals.

I ALMOST bought the version of this Target had during a Global Bazaar a couple of years ago, for a fraction of the price. Ah well, this was worth the splurge. It's gorgeous, and looks like it was far more expensive. I wish it were a tiny bit bigger, but overall a great purchase.

I absolutely love this unique chandelier. Yes, the shells are iridescent white framed by metal edging. Much better in real life than the picture. I did not have to unwrap each flower petal. The fixture came packaged really well with bubble wrap and styrofoam peanuts--nothing chipped or broken and it is a fragile piece as the shells are delicate and thin. My husband hardwired it above the dining table. It looks fabulous. Nothing like it I have seen before. Thank you, Target, for becoming more up scale these days. This is not an inexpensive fixture, but well worth the price!

The photo does not do this light fixture justice! It's truly stunning and can just as easily hang in a more formal room as in a more casual environment. You'll probably need a professional to hang it for you.
