Carson 2-Shelf Bookcase - White product details page

Positives- Great assembly system. Easy to follow and complete. They don't look expensive, but they don't look cheap either. They blend in with my more expensive pieces. Sturdy and functional. I have some heavy pieces stored on top of the bookcases and I feel confident they are good enough quality to withstand use. Negatives- Came with a large dent from shipping. This was very disappointing because I had read similar complaints in earlier reviews. Of the three bookcases I ordered, all three a rrived at separate times and all three arrived in mangled boxes. Two of the three had major dents. Luckily the dent on the smaller bookcase was in the wood on the back, not the front. See picture below. I decided not to return because they are so cheap anyway. Overall, for the price, I am very happy with the bookcases.

I just wanted a cheap, but nice looking small bookshelf. Assembly took some patience, but wasn't too bad ~1hr. I think it looks pretty good. You get what you pay for, but I don't think you can get much better at this price point.

I am so glad that I bought these shelves. I have looked everywhere for some white shelves to go in my son's playroom. These are great quality and a great PRICE!

My husband put this together and all the pieces fit together well and made a very sturdy product. Unfortunately the side panels and the shelves (including the top) are simply cheap particle board covered in a wood grain veneer that is greyish white while the stiles (frame) are made of wood in a bright white. All the edges of the particle board (including every top edge) is dented or scratched despite the very protective packaging. I do not think that we have a damaged piece simply that the mate rial is subpar. We could possibly have dealt with the damaged edges but the color difference between the front and the top was too much to bear. We will by buying a different style shelf instead.

I ordered this for my 3 year old daughters room- The assembly was quick and easy and it looks fantastic- Looks like a high quality product for a good price. I am very satisfied with it!

I have purchased at least four Carson bookshelves--three black and one white. All have been excellent quality and easy to put together. (All parts are well packaged and labeled.) I am pretty picky about appearance, and these look great, especially considering the price! The only drawback is the cardboard-ish back, but it is not very noticeable (unless for some reason the back of the bookcase was really exposed). I am thrilled with the Carson bookshelves in general, and this one in particular.

it takes 2 hours or so to put together. i compared bookshelf to other prices, didn't want to pay a lot but wanted something with a backing and enclosed sides. unfortunately, the legs are uneven, so right now we have to put something underneath the leg so it's not wobbly. we will sand it off later. you get what you pay for! overall, it's fine for now.

I messed up a couple of times putting these together and had to back-track to fix them - the directions were good but not as detailed as they could have been in a couple places. With that said, these are very nice shelves and they seem sturdy. I definitely reccomend.

This was easy to assemble, It is sturdy and it has held up great for the last two years. It was definately worth the price!

This seems to be a sturdy, nice looking bookshelf. It didn't take long to put together and looks great in our nursery.
