I ordered this online for my nephew and a pink flowered model came instead. I don't think my nephew will enjoy that too much. So annoyed that I have to waste gas to go return it now.

It was easy enough that our 2 year old picked up on it quickly. It goes fast and is durable. It runs on carpet with no problems. We have changed batteries once, and it does take alot. We use rechargables so it's not too big a deal. So it's really worth it. It does have a range limited to about 8-10 feet and it turns really slow. Our 2 year old loves it and so do we. :)
I bought rechargable batteries for this car and I had to recharge them every single day, so I decided to return it and find something else. My son liked playing with the car but the battery life wasn't worth it. It may be because we ran in on carpet and not a hard surface, which we don't have in our apartment.
My 2 year old son just got this for his birthday. It is great. Unlike most 1st RC toys this toy has power. My son can make this go on the carpet and the tile, which we can not do with some of the others we have. My only complaint is that it drains batteries. We have already changed the batteries twice and we have only had this for a month.Otherwise a great toy and I will buy for others in the future.
My 2 year old daughter picked this car and she loves playing with it. She thinks it's magical the way it can move and change directions with the remote control. In fact, I am planning to get it as a gift for a 2 year old friend of hers.
My son is 2 1/2 and this is his very first remote control car. We've only had it for less than a week so I don't want to say that I disagree with the other 2 negative reviews but so far my son loves it! I love how the remote can be stored in the car itself and then he can carry it around. Ingenious! It has really been teaching him right/left/forwards/backwards. The dogs absolutely HATE this toy as my son chases them around with it!
The remote control piece of this toy scraped my 1-year-old son's nose, leaving a scar on his nose. I purchased this toy from Target as a birthday present for him, and weeks after, it cut his nose on the sharp edge of the detachable piece. I can no longer allow him to play with this toy, although he likes it, because it is too dangerous.
Cheap construction - wires inside came loose several times

Really cheap construction, and after just the first day of our toddler playing with this and banging it into walls, one of the wires came loose inside and it would only work sporadically. I opened it up to take a look, and couldn't believe how poor all the solder connections were on all the wires. Resoldered the one wire the best I could and it worked fine for a while. But, after more banging around, it started working sporadically again, and wasn't worth trying to fix again.
