I was pleased to find this contemporary, low-profile round coffee table. It's great for a small room because the low height keeps views clear, as does the open design of the base. The price is right and assembly is easy. I do recommend drilling pilot holes for the 12 screws required to attach the base brackets to the underside of the table top.The table arrived inside a wood crate (drill needed to open--can't imaging this fitting into a small apartment vestibule) and was tightly packed in a car dboard box with foam wrapping. Unfortunately, the table must have been damaged at origin (there was no damage to the packaging) because there was a small (dime-size) chip out of the top. The light color of the unstained wood shows through, which makes such chips quite noticeable. You'll want to keep a dark color pencil or marker around to attend to any future chips or scratches. Silly me, I should have completely unwrapped the top and inspected it before assembly--but I thought keeping the wrapping in place would protect the top from scratches. Target is sending me a replacement (hooray), but wants me to repack and return the damaged table (boooo--I don't have time or packing supplies for that job).
