I read the previous reviews about this bed and in combination with the features -for the price it was hard to find a twin over full WITH a trundle option that was this reasonable- I made the "leap". We have had the bed up for 1 day and my kiddos love it-- it's their new play area, seems very sturdy though I have warned them that it is not a jungle gym just to be cautious since I don't know yet fully how much abuse it can take. The parts seem to be real wood/composite. and while the se arch for the instructions did prove to be a bit frustrating, my roommate and I got it together and ready for use -including mattresses/bedding- in 2.5 hours.

We do like this bed, and it was easy to assemble, but we don't feel like we got all of the information we needed, at times - for instance, until we actually took out the trundle pieces, we did not know whether the trundle itself was full or twin sized (it's a twin.) We also don't know what the weight limit is for this bed - I'm sure it's fine for our little ones, but can Dad read a book to his little girl on the top bunk without it falling through? We don't really know. The bed-with-trundle came in 7 boxes, so the first chore was to find the instructions. I guess the full bed, the twin and the trundle are all also sold separately, so the instructions weren't as exact as we needed for the trundle part. FOR INSTANCE, after we assembled the full bed and put the twin on top (all per the directions included with the full bed) and took out the trundle..turned out we had to disassemble the bottom support on the full and relocate it so that the trundle would fit. This would have been MUCH easier to do before the full had been finished, slat kit attached and all that.We got the trundle assembled about three days after we assembled the bunk bed..and as I was putting the trundle in place, I noticed that the front beam on the full bed was almost cracked in half, and the mattress was sagging. Yikes! The beams are apparently a sort of composite wood, and this one had cracked along one of the 'seams'. I called Target, who put me on the line with the manufacturer, who got the part name from me and somehow had a replacement piece on my doorstep two days later. It only took a few minutes to remove the old one (without having to take apart the whole bed - whew!) and insert the new, and we've been good since. One note - we thought from the illustrations that the front panel of the trundle bed actually ended up flush with the edge of the bottom bunk when it was pushed in, but it does not - it lines up 'almost', leaving a little ledge of maybe an inch or an inch and a half where the two pieces meet. That's neither here nor there, but not what we expected.Overall, we're happy with the bed and we're definitely happy with the customer service we received from Target and the manufacturer when we ended up with a defective piece. We would buy this item again if we needed another one :)

very nice bed

Bed was delivered fast. All pieces were included in one shipment. Bed is very sturdy and attractive. Was fairly easy to put together, instructions were in different boxes, would of helped to have all of them together.
