We have been looking for counter stools for a long time. THis is the second set we ordered from Target.com. The first one was painted metal and looked cheap even though it was much more expensive. There is a lot on the market, but we wanted, swivel, some wood, some cross back detail to reflect our x-back dining chairs. The wood is a bit darker than what is depicted. Which was perfect for us. The chairs take about 20 mins each for two people to assemble. My husband had no complaints. I really li ke that they are not heavy so they can easily be moved for the daily sweeps. We put foam underneath so they don't scratch the hardwood floor. For looks, elegance, I give 5 stars, I find that you have to put your foot on the bottom footrest to actually get it to swivel, which is why I give it 4 stars. However, more controlled swiveling is not bad since my kids can't hit the granite counter with it. So it is probably closer to 4.5 stars. I recommend these chairs.
