[...] Bought the Alfred Thermaweave for my bedroom and this is exactly what I'm looking for. Not only is the quality super and the panels look WAY more expensive than what I paid for, the panels cover the needs to blockout light and is indeed energy efficient. [...]

Overall I like the drapes. I bought mine on sale for $ per panel. The color was good.. I purchased "Beach House Tan" .. The quality was good. My only complaint is that they really only block about 70% of sun light. Perhaps the darker color (like brown) blocks more light. And, I'm not sure the therma back does much. But, I like having the lining/white background showing out the window.

Since hanging these curtains my wi-fi connectivity went kaput. It does not work at all with the drapes closed. I hope this review saves someone the agony I went through to figure that out.Other than being woven of pure evil, they do a $ job of blocking the light. The color is a little lighter than the picture but I wouldn't call it light brown. They appear shinier in the photo than they are in person.

Disappointed in "black out" quality

This is a really nice curtain, and I think it'll really help keep the room insulated. It's a nice color and drapes nicely. I bought it, however, for it's blackout capabilities, and this is disappointing. You can still see light through the fabric, which I wasn't expecting. I'm not talking about around the curtain, I'm talking THROUGH it. So, I'm going to have to put another curtain under it to really black out the light.

The color in person is slightly different than shown. It is chocolate, but more of a light chocolate mixed with caramel. It's still a rich color, but not a deep chocolate as it appears here. It's a very silky curtain so it has a little sheen to it, with a little bit of a horizontal nap (?) to it..like little raised parts of the silk going horizontally. It is perfect for insulating. The front window of our house is very drafty and we cannot feel anything coming through but if you put your hand b ehind the curtain you can feel the cold air that is being blocked from entering the rest of the room by the curtain. It's also great for when we're trying to get our 1.5 year old to sleep and we don't want to put him upstairs in his crib when we're home during the day. Overall a very good curtain. I wish they made it in more colors because I would have them in every room!

Not as light-blocking, or as dark brown, as it seems

This darkens our baby's room, and matches the decor ok, but it's neither as light-blocking or as "chocolate" brown as it seems in the listing. But we like it anyway. If you're looking for something that almost completely blocks out light, go for one of the ones with a white "thermaback" lining (kinda like hotel curtains). They are thicker and don't drape as well, but they block more light.

Pretty Close To What I Was Looking For

I needed drapes to block out the light for my babies' rooms. These are doing the trick pretty well, however the color is more of a mocha than the espresso color (pictured). On its own this color works well with my decor, however I bought the therma-back panels for my other rooms due to the windows being slightly more narrow, and the color and texture of the material differs. I am likely the only one who notices, but it is something that would be nice if both styles were exactly the same materia l and color.

Disappointed in quality, but does block out light.

I bought one of these panels at the store (it was a return), brought it home and loved it. I proceeded to then order another one online. When I recieved it and hung it, I noticed the online panel has a very weird darkened weave pattern in the center of the curtain; it is jagged and about 2 feet oval shaped. very obvious during the day when the light is shining in. this panel also doesn't keep light out as much as the other panel. so I am going to attempt to return the panel and purchase another one, hoping it is just a defective curtain and the next doesn't have the same issue. I do love the color, style and the fact that it does keep light out better than any other curtain I've used before.

Good, but actual color is more med brown than chocolate

I think these curtains are fine....but the color is lighter than it seems in the picture online. I will be returning them because they won't work with my pink/choc brown nursery (this color is more a medium brown than a chocolate). As far as light blockage, I was pretty happy; I tested them in a south facing window during the mid-afternoon and they blocked a lot of light.
