The rain cover does no protect against windy rain! Large gaps are left between the bottom of the rain cover and the bottom of the main tent's netting, so any wind at all can send rain sideways into your tent.Similarly, in order to have any privacy at all, you must attach the rain cover, and even then most neighboring campers can see into your tent (because of the gap). I would have preferred a tent with zipper covers for each "window"; that way complete visual privacy can be obtained AND selective privacy (shut the window facing your neighbors while leaving one facing away open) is possible. Also, our tent came with a hole in the rain cover (so it leaked) and a large section of netting where the machine messed up and left the holes rather large (so small bugs came right in).Setup was easy enough for a tent of this price, and the operation of the zippers and placements of storage pouches was fine.

It's not completely water proof

I loved this tent up until it rained. I set the tent up in my backyard for my sister and I to try out before we went camping. We had a great cool night (no options to close windows because there aren't any...it's all screen) and fell in love with it. The second night it rained while we were out and when we checked there was a pool of water inside! I was extremely disappointed. The rain had come in through the bottom front...through the zipper. Water was still dripping from the zipper onto the f loor. It was a bad storm with winds but I still expect the zipper not to let water in especially if it has a lip over it.

Quick setup, but not great.

Easy setup for one person. This tent is claimed to be a "four person" tent. Maybe four kids in sleeping bags? However, we put two twin blow up mattresses in and they both touched on all walls. The front bottom wall and part of the side leaked like crazy during a storm. The top did not. We even coated the seams and sides with waterproofing stuff. Also, the way the rain cover is attached, there is a pole poked into two parts of the tent in the front. This messes up the zipper on the doo r because of how much it was pulled by the pole. I had to tug and pull on both sides of the material to get it to close each time. It was a PAIN. This tent was really easy to setup by myself, but did not last through a storm and was a pain.
