Great little pot for those who love and will revive the classic stove-top coffee pot.

After several years of drinking coffee from an electric drip, my husband and I decided that we needed a change. I searched many stores and found this pot to be just what we were looking for. The taste of the coffee is clean and the pot brews the perfect cup. This is a much better way to prepare coffee than an electric drip. It's also easy to store and does not take up too much room or counter space, as my old drip maker did.

good value improved design but top leaks slightly

Big improvement on the width at the bottom. Somewhat disappointed that there is already a leak on the black ring on the top of the lid...Have used less than 1 week.

'Cup" markings inside the pot are hard to see, they should be stamped not etched. Unit is a little difficult to clean due to the top lip that curves to the inside . There should be a better spout. Coffee is not directed well to the spout due to, no 'valley' at the spout opening, inside. Be sure to use proper 'grind' of coffee. Fine grind leaves lots of residue in the bottom of pot and in your cup. Overall, a nice unit.

great gift

I had purchased this for my Father in law for his birthday. He loves it and uses it on his boat that has a cabin with a small stove. He plans on traveling down the Chesapeake Bay this summer and taking it with him to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee!

I knew there was something missing from my automatic brewer. Yea, flavor. The standard drip models do not get water hot enough to make a good hearty brewed flavor. I kept adding more grounds=$$$$. Not only that but the life expectancy on the drip models is only a few years and the heating element seems to work less. A percolator boils the water=hot water going thru the grounds after they are fully saturated. Even the cheap store brand coffee tastes great. We even take this out on the boat. Afte r being so disappointed that we couldn't find a coffee shop anywhere on the CT river, we tryed this on the grill. It takes a while but works great. I will probably order a separate pot just for the boat. My auto drip is packed away now. I have more space on my counter and my morning java experience is greatly improved. Dishwasher safe-BONUS!! Even my husband, who was a true skeptic, loves it!! BEWARE: contents are definitely hot!!!

Works great

Never had any problems with this percolator, but it is hard to keep clean if you've never owned one before. I'd buy a special cleaner along with it.

Wonderful, like everything.

Great size percolator, percs well. Would prefer a less "campy" design, but understand this percolator can be used outdoors and stovetop.

Ordered this for my grandmother who does thing the old fashioned way including making a fresh pot of coffee in the "old school method". This replaces one she had for many mnay years and more than meets the challenge.

Great quality for the price

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and saw the quality of this product. For the price we paid I expected it to be a lighter weight metal, but it's sturdy and the cover fits snugly. It's so nice, I'm almost afraid to use it for camping now.
