We bought this for my son's 6th birthday. To begin, the dvd was missing and the drum set itself was so small. I would expect a beginner set to be for an elementary aged child, not a toddler. As I was looking at the directions my son starting to use the drum sticks and was hitting the drum set that I have not yet put together. It puts little indents in the drums when you hit them. A VERY cheap set. And not cheap to buy. A complete rip off. My son is so disappointed. We will be taking it back to target later today. Great idea by the maker, but made horribly.
