Whatever the composition of stuff that is in my pan smokes as soon as it gets hot, and I have had no success with this useless scrap of cookware. Everything, no matter what it is, sticks and is a pain to clean. Very heavy and will probably get rid of it. Disgrace to any store or home shelf.

I have enjoyed this panini pan far more than I anticipated! It is heavy, durable, and works like a dream on my electric cooktop or on the outdoor kitchen gas cooktop. The panini sandwiches, and a few other things, have been kicked up a notch at my house. Also, it is a beautiful color...matches my Le Crueset cookware and I saved quite a bit with THIS purchase. Try one...you will love it ;)

I wanted to like this because it is so pretty, but it did not work well for me on my induction cooktop at all. The lid never gets hot enough to toast the top of the sandwich, so it produced a nice, crispy bottom and a soggy, limp top. I preheated it as per instructions.

This is a great pan for the size ..... weight as with all cast iron is on the heavy side which is perfectly acceptable as only smaller amounts of food are cooked at one time. Sadly the quality of the enamel is a lot to be desired. It chips very easily ( I did enameling at school - Design and technology - ) possibly due to the fact that the enamel is very thin at the edge. In my opinion I would look at La Cruset or Staub for a panini grill. Heat transfers to the handle very quickly so make sure you use an ove mitt

I bought this last night...i have been eyeing it for a while and it was on sale so I thought why not? I woke up this morning and pressed a bagel between it and added cooked eggs and cheese and presto...a breakfast sandwich...better than I could have bought at any restaurant! This is amazing! You should buy one!

This is my favorite pan for so much more than making perfect Panini's. From grilled polenta to bacon press the pan cooks quickly and evenly with easy clean up. I store it on my range where it catches the eye, and guests cant wait to pick it up asking, Can we cook something with it? I have gifted 2 of these to date as wedding gifts and, dont tell my parents, but they are getting one for Christmas! I love this pan and I hope you will too.

Great addition to the kitchen, will be used often for quick sandwiches for dinner. So far we have done pastrami and provolone, and for brunch, fried eggs, cheese and spinach. Both turned out great using ciabatta bread. By the time you heat up the pan, your can have the sandwiches ready to go. Didn't even need any oil for the bread or pan, but works better if you bake the ciabatta before you use it this way. Highly recommended for families that want to eat real food fast.

Once in a rare occasion a tool is so well made that it changes the very way we think of how to accomplish the task at hand. This is one such an example, were the quality and simplistic design create an Incomprehensible tool that no kitchen should be without. The myriad of applications for this pan are only limited by your imagination. Wether you are grilling on the stove top or in the oven {were this pan truly shines} there is no better way to do it. Cuban sandwiches are a snap and don't forget the Panini's, anything you can think of will become a new Panini taste treat.
