My mom has always wanted an Ant Farm. I got her this for mothers day and she absolutely loves it. She has it in her office at work and we all watch all the hard work the Ants do. It's quite the attraction! :)

I bought this for my girlfriend as a christmas present and we both love it. I wasn't sure what to expect because some of the reviews were not so good but it has turned out to be an excellent purchase. I would recommend this for any person, young and old, because it is very fun and low maintenance.

Many bad reviews here because ants arrive late and dead. We bought our ants from antsalive[...] They arrived within days and lived nearly a year in this antfarm.

For my 6th birthday I received one these Giant Ant Farms. I remember the offer on the box stating that a voucher for free ants was included. I remember even back then (age of 6) asking myself what are the odds that my ants would safely get to me through mail? Slim right? I never sent in my voucher, instead I ran inside the house and grabbed a piece of ham and shoved it from the top and into the ant farm. I ran to the closest ant farm I could find, woke them up a bit and watched dozens of ants j ust march right into the ant farm after the ham. I am in my early twenties today and just bought one the other day to remind me of how great this gift was. If you follow the directions and feed accordingly you can even have plants grow inside, usually from the side you pour the water into for moisture.

I ORDERED THIS FOR MY DAUGHTER FOR A SCIENCE PROJECT AT SCHOOL. I RECIEVED THE ANT FARM FROM TARGET WITHIN 3 DAYS. THAT WAS THE LAST OF THE GOOD PART. I SENT OFF THE NEXT DAY FOR THE ANTS AND THEY CASHED MY CHECK 3 DAYS LATER DID NOT SHIP ANTS UNTIL 15 DAYS LATER THEY ARRIVED 13 DAYS LATER ALL DEAD. SHE WILL GET A F ON HER PROJEC T BECAUSE OF THIER INCOMPETENCE

I got this any farm for my son for christmas. He was so excited to have it but had to wait for the ants. The ants did not come until May. By that time he had just about forgot about the toy. Most of the ants where alive. By the end of July they died. This was not worth the wait.

All is well until you send for the ants, first of all my nephew waited 2 months, no ants, then Target re-ordered the ants, all arrived very fast, but only 4 out of 22 were alive. The ants home is great though...

My daughter got this for Christmas and promptly sent of the money for ants. The ants didn't arrive until the first part of March. Half of the ants were dead when they arrived, and the others were dead within 2 days. They didn't appear to be very healthy ants as one might see in their yard. The ant farm might be OK but find another source for the ants.
