These work really well for updos. Saves a ton of time and bobby pins. I also love using these to create lift and a big voluminous look...sort of like a bumpit. I take half my hair, make a little bun in the back and tuck it under and then use a screw to secure it. Then I can leave it as is, add a ponytail with the rest of my hair or pull the rest up into a French twist. I get tons of compliments.

My hair is really long and thick, and I thought these could handle it. They're really simple to use and attractive, but my hair still wrestles itself free. Oh well.

I have long very fine hair, and have tried every gizmo out there. This really works! With two quick twists, I have a bun that stays in place all day. No hair spray, no more having to deal with tons of bobby pins! Thank you Goody!!

I have very thick, long hair, and it took me a while to get the hang of these and not have my hair falling out 10 later. For those with similar hair, I would suggest buying two sets for a total of four pins. It secures your hair better, but does not lose the "undone" look.

Great Product!

I love the spin pin! I wear my hair in a bun at least 3 times a week and the spin pin definitely takes a beating. Its very sturdy and CAN hold up thick hair. The only down side is that I have a hard time getting the bun to stay tight. I have very thick hair and I have to play with it or re-do it at least twice. I also find that having only the pins in my hair does not always help. I have to sometimes secure it with rubber bands too. It can get very annoying. The only reason I am not giving this product 4 stars is because knowing me...I'm probably doing it wrong. Other people seem to be doing alright with it. Other than that its a great product and I would definitely buy it again if I needed to.

I was shocked at how simple and effective this Spin Pin works. I saw the demo and thought to myself "never on my thick long hair will I be able to make a bun without adding extra bobby pins to secure it". When it arrived I challenged it not to work by twisting my hair up and following the instructions putting in one pin and then the other. I was shocked! I had a perfect beautiful bun and my thick frizzy mane was under control. I don't know if this works on all types of hair i.e. thin fine hair but I don't see why it shouldn't. The bun stayed in through a night of sleeeping and it feels so comfortable. I didn't even use an elastic first to hold my hair together before twisting it into a bun. I'm getting another for myself and buying for gifts, too. Great item that actually performs...for a change!

i saw the commercials for the spin pin & was skeptical at first but i bought them anyway out of curiosity as a way to pull my hair back without the typical ponytail. i have to say i am greatly satisfied! even with my long, thick hair they hold up great! i have to use both pins where i think someone with thinner hair could get by with just 1 & sometimes it takes a few tries to get it tight enough but for the secure hold i get i don't mind. i highly recommend this product!

This is the first time in my life I have found something to hold my hair without ripping it out! I have slick straight Asian hair that refuses to be bound in any way. These spirals, and a little bumble & bumble styling creme, hold my hair in a stylish bun. Not ballerina tight.

I use these every day for work. I would give them ten stars if I could. Unlike "scrunchies" or other hair holders, you do not need to put your hair in a pony tail first. You simply twist your hair until it rolls tight to your scalp and then twist in one pin from the top and one from the bottom. The package unfolds to illustrated instructions and several styles to try. This product literally takes the place of twenty bobby pins--and it works twenty times better. I think what I like best about this product is that it is very gentle on my hair. It does not "dent" or break my hair. When I remove these pins (after having my hair up all day) there is no "pony-tail dent" in my hair at all. In fact, my hair just gets soft waves from being twisted up.I highly recommend this product. Great job Goody!
