Gran Turismo 5 (PlayStation 3) product details page

I bought this because is saw my friends playing it and it looked cool.Once i got into it I could'nt stop playing.I would reccomed this to people who like racing games.

This is the best simulation racing game out to date. The graphics is amazing and the career mode gives you so many events to keep you busy. The only thing that keeps this game from having 5 stars is the sound. The car sounds are not as realistic [..]. Other then that it's a great game![..]

The perfect racing simulator. Maybe not. But it is the best one to date. An improvement over the previous entries in the series in every way. The cars are beautifully detailed. Plenty of tracks to choose from. There is a slight curve in adjusting to the controls, this is a sim, not an arcade racer. Of course anyone familiar with the series already knows that. Hundreds of hours of content. Hundreds of cars to purchase and acquire. Unique challenges and styles of racing. Customizable and extensib le.Simply fun. Very rewarding. One of the finest offerings of this console generation.

Gran Turismo Series has been the most realistic racing games to date. I remember the first one on Playstation 1.I highly recommend getting this game if you like racing games.

The game isn't even out yet and people are writing reviews, funny. So I'll say mine too. Gran Turismo has been the biggest name in driving/racing simulators. Its called "The real driving simulator" because it really is the best out there. I've been playing since the original Gran Turismo came out back around 1997.When it comes to realism and accurate driving physics, Gran Turismo beats any other racing game. I've played other racing games and they can't even compare. Other racing game s are purely arcade style games so that anyone can pick it up and easily learn to drive and win races and modify the car to give it a better appearance. Which makes them fun, but not realistic or challenging, and some are so easy that there isn't much satisfaction in winning.Gran Turismo on the other hand...-The mods you make to the car aren't for fancy looks, they're for functionality, such as fine tuning your gear ratios or adjusting your toe and camble angles and NOS output rate. You may need to fine tune these things to make your car better for a particular race.-Challenging. Gran Turismo(in GT mode) forces you to go through driving school and earn licences in order to participate in races. Harder licenses allow you to enter harder races. Nobody can just pick up Gran Turismo and be good at it, you REALLY do have to know how to drive, and thats where the driving school comes in. I've seen to many people try to play it and are completely bad because you actually have to slow down for turns, what an idea! Some of the harder races are so close that making one little mistake that slows you down by 2 seconds will cause you to lose the race, you'll have a hard time catching up to the next car.One difference I see in Gran Turismo compared to other racing games. I played another popular racing game and it was insanely easy after playing Gran Turismo, I didn't even have to hit the breaks to slow down for turns! Come on, how many races have you seen where they NEVER have to slow down? Gran Turismo is a tough game, but its very rewarding when you win a race based purely on your well-developed driving skills and not just a tricked out ride.I'm really looking forward to this next one in the Gran Turismo series, I'm disappointed to see the release date continuously pushed back, but it'll be well worth it once it comes out. I'll be back on here to post again once I pick up my copy at Target and have been playing a while!

If you like the best, this is the game for you. With more than 900 cars, damage, best graphics and physics, online play. GranTurismo 5 is totally the game that is sure to cause a big impact!
