The smooth lined paper in these notebooks is very nice to write on and it IS FOUNTAIN PEN COMPATIBLE! I tested the paper with Waterman, Shaeffer, Parker, Namiki, and Higgins inks with Waterman fine and medium nib, a Parker medium nib, a Pilot medium nib, and 2 Shaeffer italic nib fountain pens. None of the pen and ink combinations feathered. There was some minor bleed-through with the italic Shaeffer medium nib, but none with the fine nib. [..] These should be made with plain covers and t hey would rate a 5 star style rating. [..]
