the stand does not work mainly because the bendy arm does not stay up once you place the hairdryer on it. it droops with the hair dryer in place. yes, even with the velcro strap wrapped around it. my hair dryer is an average one, not too heavy. it's weak and even the aluminum pole is very flimsy, even with the one screw. don't waste your hopes and money by buying this thing.

This is a relaly nice stand, very wasy to put together and the base is heavy enough that it doesn't fall over. The only downside is it doesn't have much veriety in height. It is either all the way up or down, nothing between. I just put it on the counter when I want it taller so it doesn't really need to adjust, it would just be nice. I would recommend this if you need a stand for a reasonable price.

Used once and now its just used as a pretend microphone stand for my little sisters. I don't like to have to move all around to get my hair dry, I didn't feel in control....maybe I just don't know what to do?

I bought this for my chin length hair that I'm growing out. It requires drying and straightening and this has given me my hands back for using my round brush and sectioning off my hair. It works well, but takes a little adjustment to moving your head to line up with the hair flow. The bendy arm definitely sags with the weight of the dryer, but there's enough height adjustment that I just adjust it accordingly. Great purchase for me and I'm happy with the product.

bought this to help with hairdrying after shoulder surgery and it works very well. height changes are not possible but the flexible neck makes that a moot point once height has been set.

The base on this unit is very solid but the actual construction of the rest of the unit is not very good.

This thing really is a lifesaver for those of us who style as we blow-dry. I can never quite use the round brush and the blow-dryer at the same time, so this has really saved me. It cuts down on my blow-drying and styling time for work, and works wonderfully! I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I bought one for my Mom, too!

I thought it would make it easier to style my hair if I had a stand to hold my blow dryer. It turned out that it made it much more difficult. I had to step away from the stand to rebrush what it was blowing around, and I felt like my hair had less volume than if I just did it myself. I returned this item.

If you have a light weight hair dryer, this will probably work. I was going to use this to hold a hair dryer that I bought at the same time to groom my dog. It does not hold the hair dryer up very well. Disappointed because I am tired of spending money after thinking about it for so long, thinking I'm making the right decision. This does not work for me. Sorry!

It's just what I expected. I use it 3 times per week to dry my dog after I give her a bath. It's sturdy enough to hold the blow dryer without tipping over, and the blow dryer clips and straps in securely. Sometimes it can be tricky to get the height adjustment to stay, but once adjusted, I usually just leave mine at that same height. I thought is was perfect and fairly priced.
