Kind of annoying that you have to "pulse" instead of "blend" the smoothie Also, the blade is in the bottom of the cup, not on the base of the stand so your "to-go" cup has blades in the bottom and other travel Hamilton Beach to-go cups are not compatible.

I bought this blender for the sole purpose of making smoothies, and I'm so glad I did! It blends everything I've thrown at it, including ice, frozen smoothie mixes and fruit. My only complaint is the blades aren't removable, so this makes cleaning it a little difficult. For that reason I gave it 4 stars overall, but honestly, it's a great little blender. I love it so much, I'm buying my Mom one as part of her Mother's Day gift!

I just purchased this and have been using it all week. So far I am completely satisfied. It easily blends up frozen fruit, juice and protein powder. I haven't tried adding ice, but the box says it should take care of that as well. The canister size is perfect for a breakfast smoothie or after a workout and the measuring lines makes it even easier to make the perfect consistency every time. It is even a little quieter than I expected... Some blenders can be very very noisy. Only time will t ell how well this little thing holds up, but for the price, you can't go wrong!

I bought this for my sister for Christmas and she loves it. I didn't even realize that the blender comes detached from the mechanical part so she can take her smoothies with her wherever she goes.

Throw fruit, protein or heck even a snickers bar add ice cream milk or ice to it and it'll blend. Sometimes I find myself having to take the lid of to smash the peanut butter down so the blade will catch it but over all this thing is easy to use have one at work and it's pretty quiet. "not library quiet". easy to wash... just like a normal cup!
