My daughter and I received this tv stand last month. She assembled the entire stand on a Friday evening after school. It looks very sturdy and attractive. Great addition to our family room!

Arrived well packaged and undamaged. Fairly easy to put together and does look nice. But do not call this golden oak.---Has no oak. The veneers appear to be cherry and the finish is the darker red of a cherry finish.
separated pieces for assembly, checked them & though piece seemed a little reddish rather than warm oak look, I decided what the heck, I needed it anyway, seems like a solid piece..began assembly & all went well til trying to put top on..had to sand the top edges of the little dowels a bit to make them fit into the openings..but all went well, did find a small corner crack on the bottom piece but rather than drag it back to store, can glue it to keep it from widening..all in all the pie
ce looks good..think it should have been priced much less (more like $$$.) due to self assembly..also it looks much like a "sauder" piece (sold in many valu home center stores)and sauder items cost much less..all in all, piece assembled looks good..hope I will get much use from it..
I really wanted to like this entertainment center, but this is what I wished I'd known before ordering it:Pros:1) Seems to actually be made from hardwood, not laminate covered chipboard. 2) Came well packaged (lots of Styrofoam padding)Cons:1) The color was several shades darker than I expected.2) After getting out all of the little pieces and beginning assembly, I found that one of the predrilled holes for the front molding was almost 1/4 inch out of place. I chose to drill a hole in the prope
r place rather than leaving all the pieces out and waiting for a replacement part. 3) The cam bolts were VERY cheaply made and several broke during assembly.4) It took just over two hours to assemble.5) The tiny cabinet doors do not close well because the entertainment center just isn't square (see #2).6) There are hundreds of little holes in the entertainment center that do not show up in the photo. They do appear to be in a pattern, so I think they are intentional, but as another review stated they may be termite holes that have been stained over. 7) There is a dime sized gouge in the wood that has been stained over. It's in the back and won't show in my home, but I think the piece should have been pulled by quality control.
Arrived within 4 days of order. I like the stand but it did have 1 big scratch on the front and a few smaller ones here and there. I like that it's a slightly darker color than the picture shows. Took my husband over an hour to put together. They sent us 2 left sided doors so he had to make adjustments. I don't think I'll buy any more furniture without seeing in person.
My own fault trying to save a few bucks. First the one side was chipped. 2nd there were tiny holes all over like termites infested the wood and they just stained the wood. Total disappointment.
I just got this tv stand and we love it!! Solid wood, high quality piece for the price!!! Very easy to put together. Did it in less than an hour. It looks really great and holds the components and DVD's perfectly.
