I bought this set of dishes 3 years ago and they still look brand new. I am surprised to read that so many people have been having problems with them breaking. Since day 1 they have alway been washed in the dishwasher. I also put them in the microwave to heat things up for a minute or so, but I have never tried to boil water or cook anything in them. I love these dishes so much that I am actually going to put another set on my wedding registry!

I had these dishes for over 3 years and only had one break. The coffee mugs are so fun to drink out of, and I really enjoyed the design. I think they are a great value and will get many complements as mine did!

I received 2 sets of these as a bridal shower gift 4 years ago and I have about half of the collection left and they look so bad that I don't let guests use them. The plates break very easily. The corners are weak and break off with the slightest bump on a counter or when taking it out of the dishwasher. The center of the plates crack as well. Some crack completely in half while others just have a crack/shatter pattern forming but are still usable. Of the 8 of each that I started with, I n ow have 2 small plates and 3 large plates that still have corners, but they also have the cracked look in the center of the plate. Most of the plates broke within the first year. All of the mugs and bowls have held up well except for a few casualties that were my own fault. I actually really like and would recommend the mugs and bowls, but it's not worth it with the poor quality of the plates.

Love the design but the dishes chipped right away and the mugs are scorching hot when you put them in the microwave. You have to use a oven mit to touch them.

I fell in love with these dishes as soon as I saw them and bought 2 sets. I knew after reading the reviews I shouldn't put them in the dishwasher with the heat dry setting and I shouldn't microwave them. I knew I needed to be careful with these dishes and I was. I have had these dishes for a year and a half and out of 8 large plates I am down to 4. One cracked in half when I dished a plate of hot spaghetti to my husband, I microwaved one for 1 minute to warm something up and it cracked in half right down the center and the other 2 came out of the dishwasher cracked. The bottom clearly says they are microwave and dishwasher safe but they are definitely not. For the price of the dishes and the quality of them, look for something else. These are beautiful dishes and I get a ton of compliments on them but for the price they are not worth it. They could be great for special occasion dishes but not for every day use.

After reading some of these reviews I find it funny when people put 1 star and very disappointed! Come on folks! Here's the scoop, These are really awesome styled dinnerware. I have had many compliments. I bought a second set because I thought they were so great. In 6 years I have chipped one corner on a dinner plate and put a crack in one salad plate. I have moved 5 times in those 6 years. The plates survive! One important thing to remember is that you can't expect plates with curved in edges to act the same as a flat plat. You must be a little careful. Overall these plates are sturdy and heavy, and holding up very nicely. Just be conscious of how you put them in the dishwasher and don't expect them to be unbreakable. They are still plates! Good value for the price!

Very pretty... very WEAK. Don't expect to have these for longer than a few months,[...]. Plates crack, chip and crumble in your hands, especially if you wash by hand. Worthless, especially for the price. Don't be fooled by the "prettiness" like I was!

I saved up and waited a couple of years to buy these dishes. Yes, they are beautiful and i love the styling but after owning these for 2 weeks one of the dishes cracked in half tonight. It was in the microwave for 2 minutes. The bottom of the dishes say microwave and dishwasher safe, [...]. I am very upset with Target and these plates. I am going to try to return these and let management know of my dis-satisfaction with these dishes. As pretty as these are, save your money and some heartache, and dont purchase these.

Loved it! Has a broker look on the jade part of the plate can't tell that on the picture though
