Jason Wu for Target® Short-Sleeve Tee with Cat Print in Cream product details page

I love love love the design of this tshirt with the beribboned cat. So sassy! And I happen to like the slouchy fit. It does run large. HOWEVER. As others have commented, even after following the cleaning directions for gentle wash on delicate cycle, in a special delicates bag, as well, plus line dry, but the black kitty immediately faded to a washed-out blackish grey. I was not pleased with this result, as the black really stood out the times I got to wear the shirt before washing it. However, my husband put a positive spin on it, saying it now looks vintagey. So that's what I keep telling myself now, even though I feel kind of sad. For a designer collection, the quality really should have been higher regarding the color and dye.

I was so dismayed to see the negative reviews for this shirt that I had to share my praises. It's very adorable under a blazer, with skinny jeans, a short skirt, or a maxi skirt, or pretty much anything. It has a relaxed fit, so don't expect it to be tight. The relaxed fit is what makes it so charming. It's not sheer, but don't wear a black bra with it. I've washed mine half a dozen times since I bought it and it has not faded--hand wash cold, line dry. I love the T shirt and I don't regr et buying it one bit.

I was so excited to have been one of the lucky ones to get my hands on the cat shirt. Now I am more than irritated after seeing what happened after I washed it. I followed the instructions but I washed it on gentle cycle with nothing else in the wash just in case something was to happen to it. Little did I know that no matter what I did it the outcome would have been the same. After removing it from the wash I noticed that it was faded, really faded, then I laid it flat to dry to avoid any more fading by putting it in the dryer. The shirt kept its original soft feel but the cat is no longer black. [...].

Like everyone else, I experienced fading and shrinking -- even after washing cold and air drying. Luckily, the shirt fit a bit large before. It's still wearable but disappointing to have so much of a change after careful washing.

I loved this shirt...at first. I usually wear a small but the only one left - after this power couple swooped up almost all the merchandise, probably to sell online unfortunately - was an extra small. Desperate for the shirt I tried on the XS. To my surprise it was the perfect size! Not too small and not too large. The shirt ran on the bigger side, to my advantage. After the first wash, my troubles began. Like many other reviews I have read here, the black cat faded away after the firs t wash...even after washing it carefully and letting it air dry. It has maintained the fabulous silky feel, but lost the black to the cat and the size has shrunk up on me. I did not want a grey cat shirt...I wanted the black cat. Needless to say...I will probably only be wearing this shirt as an undershirt now. Very disappointed.

I loved this shirt and was so excited to get it. It looks just like my cat. I loved the way it fit and was very soft and comfortable.I washed it according to the directions and just like everyone else the cat faded so badly and the shirt shrunk to an unflattering fit. I know it wasn't my wash because all my other clothes turned out clean, normal, unfaded, and same size. It is going back tomorrow. I'm so mad this is unacceptable.

I bought this tee online on launch day. It fit perfectly and draped beautifully. Then today I washed it...even following the manufacturer's exact directions it shrunk and the black cat is now completely faded and a drab grey color. Will be returning this tomorrow.

This was the first thing that I noticed when they started talking about the Jason Wu line. I had to have it and I'm not even a cat person! [...] I got the Medium and I'm usually a Medium and I think it fits fine. Yes, some people mentioned they ran big but I have broad shoulders so I'm good. It is a touch long but I don't mind that either. I think it'll look cute paired with a long cardigan, jeans, skirts- sidenote, I got the black accordian pleated skirt from the line too and it looks super ad orable together! It's a bit sheer but I don't think see through like some people are mentioning too. It's opaque enough I think. The only thing I'm nervous about, hence the 4 stars and not 5, is that whole washing by hand thing. I've read that it shrinks a lot and the colors fade so I may just end up dry cleaning it so we'll see. But all in all, very cute quirky tee. Can't wait to wear it lots this coming spring and summer!

This shirt was so cute to begin with but after I washed it once, in cold water with delicate fabric detergent, the cat faded so much it looked as if it had been washed 100 times. I think this entire Jason Wu line is low quality and not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend buying this shirt unless you only want to wear it once. [...].

I love this tee so much. The fabric is silky and drapes so pretty. I washed it in cold water and dried low and all the color has faded. The black is now grey and the red is totally washed out. I wonder if anyone else had this problem [...]
