I love this mixer. We got it as a wedding gift. Target did a great job shiping on time and everything. The only drawback is that the box it is shipped in is the manufacturer "KitchenAide Mixer" box...no over wrapping. Sooo, for my UPS guy who just leaves stuff on the doorstep, this [..]. If I had less honest neighbors, it may not have been there when I got home from work! But, the mixer itself is wonderful and the color looks great in my modest kitchen.

Love it !

This mixer is outstanding, runs very smoothie and comparing with others it doesn't do a lot of noise, a very nice surprise for me, but the best is the color, wow, it is so beautiful! I had another mixer same style but it doesn't even compare with this one !

I've wanted one of these puppies for quite a while, and finally got one for Christmas. Really, the only think I can say negative is the mixer is HEAVY!!! I pull it out of a corner when I want to use it, and it takes both hands and a heafty "umph" to do it. The splash-guard is a bit clumsy, but I just take it off and don't use it. Great color, matte finish, easy to clean off. Best kitchen purchase I've ever made!

I love this baby!

I've grown up using a kitchen aid mixer, and i registered for an artisan mixer in metallic chrome (this color hides the dust well) for my wedding last year. I'll be honest, I will still use a hand mixer for small tasks like whipping heavy cream, egg whites, or even simple mixes since it's easier to throw two beaters in the dishwasher. But this machine is indispensable when it comes to anything more than that. I let it do all the hard work when it comes to pizza/bread dough, heavy bar cookies wi th oatmeal, brown sugar and other dense ingredients, and biscotti. Don't even think about using a hand mixer for biscotti.

I received a kitchenaid mixer in 2004 for a wedding gift and used it several times a year. This month, during normal use I noticed oil dripping out of the mixer into the bowl. I researched repair info for this and found this to be a common problem costing about $130 to repair. The company advises that the mixer be run at least monthly to prevent this, and after one year the warranty expires. I put this item on my registry hoping it would last a lifetime, and feel that most normal people wouldn' t know to use their mixer monthly to prevent this.

Unless you really, seriously bake often and have plenty of space in your kitchen, this item is not worth the space and money. My main issue with the mixer is that stainless quality right now is very LOW in general due to high demand and the rising cost of the main metal used to make it stainless (molybdenum). This makes it inconvenient to clean, and in my opinion there's nothing worse than slaving over a dish for hours and then having to clean it all by hand. Things tend to get stuck under the r im if you leave it to the dishwasher. So, I would say the mixer is everything it ought to be, just a hassle to clean. I tend to go for my handheld mixer instead.

I love this mixer! We received it as a wedding gift last year and it's fantastic. A must if you enjoy baking,it makes the experience so much easier! I also recommend purchasing the matching cover, as it does tend to collect dust on the countertop.

I have had this mixer for years, and it works just like the day I bought it. My grandmother's mixer is at least 40 yrs old and working great, no repairs or problems. Motor never overheats, potatoes, cookies, cakes are great. Everyone at work thinks my cakes are homemade - just a box mix and the KitchenAid mixer!

I LOVE this.

This mixer is wonderful. I've had mine for a bit over a year and you'd never know it--it still works good as new. It makes desserts and mashed potatos especially easy and is very fun to use. Whips up egg whites and cream without any fuss over temperatures and, best of all, everything but the whisk attachment is dishwasher safe. Awesome.
