My son got this for his 6th bday. We have a lot of the other lego games and so the learning curve was very easy for him. But this is by far his favorite lego game - so fun to play and he loves anything Harry Potter (though he's never seen the movies). Such a fun game for our family and I would recommend it to anyone.
My son bought this game with Christmas money, and we have enjoyed playing it with him. It really teaches strategic thought. Frankly, it is a lot of fun to play with him.
This has been a very challenging game, maintains the interest of the children as well as the adults. If you are a Harry Potter Fan then this is certainly a worthwhile addition to all the Lego Castles, etc. and Harry Potter Movies. If you like board games this one adds a challenging twist, It's fun and tricky to move around especially trying to navigate through the magical castle and being able to collect your "rewards" and then return to your room. From eight to eighty this is a fun g
ame for all !!!
My ten year old son recently received the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts game and it was a big hit for the whole family. I was particularly impressed by the level of thought that went into the mechanics of the game. Many platform games seem rushed in an attempt to get the game on the shelf as soon as possible but LEGO has really come through on this one. The object is to get one's player token into all four classrooms and back before all the other players. Sound easy? Its not, first one has to navi
gate the moving staircases in Hogwarts School (just like in the story!) The staircases are manipulated by one's opponents depending on their dice rolls. The rules of the game can be adapted according to ones playing style, making it very replayable as well. I know my family will enjoy playing LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts for many years to come!
We purchased this for my 7 year old son for Christmas. The game looks like it will be alot of fun for the whole family. The set is very sturdy and well made. We're very excited for him to open this on Christmas morning. It's a great product for Lego and Harry Potter fans.
I bought this game for my 10 year old son as he cannot get enough of Harry Potter. When it arrived, I was surprised by how durable and fun the game was to play. It was a great family game and we all enjoyed playing with my son. The pieces were durable and resembled Hogwarts. I would recommend this game for anybody looking for a gift for a child that loves Legos and Harry Potter between the ages of 7-12.
