We bought two for our twins and what a waste of money. The games are terrible and you have to sync all the time. The games are expensive and the reading part is LAME! My kids try to play it but it doesn't respond well. T ... see more

Brought this for my daughters 5th birthday. She loves it and so does her 4 year old sister. It took less than an hour to completely set up and download apps. Two days of playing with the Leappad and my girls are still asking to play with it. One of the reasons I bought it was to help my 5 year old fine motor skills. She likes tracing the letters in pet pad app. The one thing I dont like about it was the limited choices I had to pick from in the free app. part.

Bought it for nephew. Intend to buy another one!

I bought one for my nephew and his mom told me that he couldn't put it down because it's too much fun to play with and he's also learning about math and reading from the apps I got for him. Since he liked it so much, I'm thinking about buying one for my niece who is turning 5 in April and having trouble with math. Hopefully this will help her have fun when it comes to learning numbers.

extreme fun

We bought this for our son's 3rd birthday. Since he is a genius with ANYTHING technology, we figured this would be right up his alley. TRUE! He loves his LeapPad, and has learned so much from the repetition that the games and apps provide.

After over one month of waiting for her "big" Christmas present, my four year old daughter was ecstatic to find the LeapPad on the shelf! We set it up as soon as we got home. The instructions were easy and she did most of the set up herself. While she napped, I set up LeapFrog software and downloaded some applications. I can't wait to see all the learning and entertainment benefits the LeapPad will bring.

love it

Our 6 year old said he wanted a DS, but I thought he was a bit young for one AND I wanted something that would be a bit more durable. This item does it! More durable, EDUCATIONAL GAMES, and our son LOVES it! He even has put his want of a DS "on the back burner" for now!!!! He created a log in for me so I can play and be separate from him. We have several games and I am always on the look out for more to add to his collection! [..]

My 5 and 3 yr old each have one and absolutely love it. We've only had them for a month, but they have been great. Only downfall is they go through batteries fast. We bought rechargeable ones and that has worked out well. It is very user friendly and easy to set up.

I have been saving money for weeks to buy my little brother this leapfrog leappad. And it has been nohing but fun. The most thing my brother loves using is the camera. He is learning without even realizing it. My parents has spent lots of money on online software and flash cards, and by far this leappad has produce the most results.

Lots of fun!

Bought this for my four year old for Christmas. Wasn't sure if she could handle the stylus, but she's done very well. Picked up a few games for her -- Dora, Pixar, Tangled, Mr. Pencil. Mr. Pencil is her favorite, and mine too... repetitive work with letters and numbers.. more than I could ever get her to sit and do with a paper and pencil!
